I spent £600 on my PC. It has 64gb RAM DDR4, Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core, Radeon RX 6700XT 12GB VRAM and 3TB SSD. I bought it from a woman whose husband cheated so she was divorcing and had no idea what it was actually worth. I had informed her but she was still happy to sell it for £600 just to "Be rid of him". Lovely woman.
The gaming industry doesn't realize how good optimization is important. Good optimization makes games accessible to more customers. Good optimization extends the usable life of hardware, saving the environment from e-waste. Good optimization allows for newer, smaller devices to also get better performance and battery life (Steam Deck anyone?).
@@rockyneely749 yeah, a lot of games do the basic stuffs only, you can optimise meshes, the game will look the same but have way less polygones and shit to be calculated by ur pc, skyrim modders know this a lot they optimise the entire game meshes, there is a lot of others optimisations possibles for games creators too
Am I only one using i3 7th gen CPU, 4gb Ram and Intel hd 600 GPU LAPTOP? Full potato PC but I respect it because my mother sold her golden neckless for buying this ❤
I've been doing computer optimization for half my life, and after trying to bring the most bottom of the barrel laptops to desktops back to life, most of the time the main fix is a decent gpu even if you have a super old intel cpu, although I did get games like fortnite, stalcraft, minecraft, roblox, and league to work with a i7-810 paired with a gt 520 and managed 40-60~ this is great content to see, pushing limits of old tech :) best advice for people that want to go budget, just buy a optiplex 7050 for $160 off ebay and a 1080ti for $180 and you'll be able to run most games, and if you're truly down bad, just get a gtx 750 with a i7-870
@@lecctron have you also tried using a custom OS on this pc like revios, ggos, or atlas os? if not I still have a copy of ggos in a Google drive I can give you, imo I believe it's truly the most barebones version of windows 10 I've used

My dad has functional old lenovo office PCs lying around doing nothing, and my little brother's gaming is limited to Switch and a family Macbook. Gonna use this video as a guide to get him something for minecraft, roblox fortnite etc.
It would be great to have a sequel video about what games you could play with that setup, showcasing old classics, hidden gems that some have missed and recent indie titles. There's a low spec niche to fill in YT! By the way, put the actual specs of that PC in the description!
I'm planning on doing exactly that on my channel eventually... and I'll probably take it to the extreme. I do have a Intel Atom N450 netbook that can game, and I don't mean just "Minesweeper" but some tactical shooters/milsims, flight simulators, racing games, etc.
This was my life for a while Man oh man the jump from an i5-5350u and intel hd graphics 6000 on a macbook with a 900p screen to an i9-13900k and an RX7900XTX on a 4k screen is not even a day and night, its a whole freaking galaxy change man.
i had an old 2012 office pc before which lets say i optimised it as much as i possibly could (i3 3220, intel hd 2500 specs 💀) i did get used to playing at like 30-40 fps so when i got a new pc it was huge getting 60+ fps
When i bought my first GPU it was such a wild upgrade i simply could not understand it, literally exploded my head how much better Wreckfest ran with the RX580, too bad i had bought it from a crackhead for 30 bucks and it was unstable as fuk, i still loved it but it decided to crash SPECIFICALLY at the worst time possible every time in CS. Eventually got a cheap (but more reasonably priced) RTX 2080 last year.
Nah because I fr got that one friend. He easily runs 120+ on max graphics while I can’t even run 60 on low which is why I’m on console until I get a new pc. But then 2 days ago he said “You should get siege or warzone on pc”. Knowing I wouldn’t play either and my pc would just blow up I declined. Sad thing is it’s always the most detailed games he wants to play knowing all I’ll see is 13 frames per second. Now ima watch this video and hop on my pc tomorrow to see if this works
Now, more than ever before, there's an incredibly wide range of performance that's viable for modern use-cases. Many people don't even wanna play new AAA games. In that case, you can do just fine with something that'd be mid-range in 2013. Me, I've got an i5-4690K, 24 gigs of DDR3, and a GTX 1080. I've underclocked the GPU because I never use it to its full potential anyway, even with my 4K main monitor.
If the budget was a bit more higher you could have got the rx 580! It’s a beast of a graphics card amazing performance and plays modern games like it’s nothing you should try that graphics card. I’m going to buy a dell optiplex with the rx 580 it’s gonna be a blast
-Can play Fortnite stable (i can but using performance mode some objects look odd) -Cannot launch even CS2 (i can but avg 20-25 on the lowest) still amazing tho my specs: Ryzen 5500u, 1x8gb RAM
if you are really hellbent on the budget with usd$50, the only good chance you have is to find and buy rare used office PC with decent CPU that has igpu strong enough to play those games without gpu. separating your already small budget into worthless gt710 wont change anything with all those tweak that basically doesnt do anything than breaking your PC because the borderline dangerous overclocking. . in short : - be lucky and find a really good used PC with decent CPU igpu for usd$50 - extend your budget somehow into usd$100, on this price range you can start finding cheap discrete gpu capable of playing those game in at least 30 fps
In some places, you can get an old mining Nvidia GPU p106-100 for 20$, they're always in the worst condition and require chiniese drivers to be even able to launch on it, but you essentially will get a GTX 1060 6Gb -15% on average performance, which is nuts.

on my experience, the less you have the happier you get in gaming. I used to play on my office laptop, and now that i have the PC that i wanted, I'm left just browsing the web and not playing the games that i bought on steam.
Not in mine. I used to have an xbox, played Star Wars Battlefront 2 all the time, and loved the game. Now it broke, and i have to play on an old laptop. It barely runs, as in its slow motion, and all the games i play arent even really rhe type i want to play. I cant even run fortnite, cs2 just barely runs
