Patenga sea beach Chittagong | পতেঙ্গা সমুদ্র সৈকত চট্টগ্রাম | Most beautiful beaches in Bangladesh. Patenga sea beach Chittagong is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Bangladesh. Patenga (Bengali: পতেঙ্গা) is a sea beach of the Bay of Bengal, located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) south from the port city of Chattogram, Bangladesh. It is near to the mouth of the Karnaphuli River. Patenga is a popular and renowned tourist spot. The beach is very close to the Bangladesh Naval Academy of the Bangladesh Navy and Shah Amanat International Airport.
Most visitors come to Patenga Beach as it is known for having some of the most stunning sunsets and sunrises in Bangladesh.
The Karnafuli River, which originates from the Lusai Hills in Mizoram, India, flows through Rangamati and Chittagong and joins the Bay of Bengal near Patenga Beach in Chittagong. The city dwellers came here to enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Bengal after getting rid of their monotonous life. The cyclone of 1991 caused extensive damage to the beach. Currently, concrete walls and large boulders have been laid along the beach to prevent erosion. Lots of people gather on Patenga beach every afternoon of the week and on holidays. You have to get up in the morning and go to the beach to watch the sunrise. There is an opportunity to float in the sea by speed-boat. Sea-bikes and horses are also available for sightseeing

How to go Patenga: If you want to go to Patenga, you have to come to Chittagong first. You can go to Patenga beach from Chittagong in different ways. Patenga is located 14 km south of Chittagong Zero Point. From Chittagong city you can go to Patenga by your own car, CNG or local bus.

ঢাকা থেকে চাইলে একদিনে পতেঙ্গা সহ আরও কোন জায়গা ঘুরে আবার ফিরে যেতে পারবেন। সেইক্ষেত্রে আপনাকে ঢাকা থেকে রাতের ট্রেন বা বাসে রওনা হতে হবে। সকালে চট্টগ্রাম পৌঁছে নাস্তা করে প্রথমেই চলে যান পতেঙ্গায়।পতেঙ্গা সমুদ্র সৈকত দেখা হলে ফয়েজ লেকে যেতে পারেন।

পতেঙ্গা কীভাবে যাবেন: পতেঙ্গা যেতে চাইলে প্রথমে আপনাকে চট্টগ্রাম আসতেই হবে। চট্টগ্রাম থেকে বিভিন্ন উপায়ে পতেঙ্গা সমুদ্র সৈকতে যেতে পারবেন। চট্টগ্রাম জিরো পয়েন্ট থেকে পতেঙ্গা ১৪ কিলোমিটার দক্ষিনে অবস্থিত। চট্টগ্রাম শহর থেকে নিজস্ব গাড়ি, সিএনজি বা লোকাল বাসে করে পতেঙ্গা যেতে পারবেন।
