- Micropropagation of sugarcane is important to obtain pathogen-free plants, genetically homogeneous and invigorate. The micropropagation procedure is divided into stages for the sake of better understanding. Micropropagation for large-scale sugarcane production using a temporary immersion system (TIS) is described. In addition, the aim of this chapter is to report, from the laboratory to the field, the best way to establish and use basic seed (primary seed), semicommercial seed (foundation or secondary seed) and commercial seed production. In conclusion, commercial sugarcane micropropagation enables the massive multiplication of plants to obtain certified vitroplants and increase the sugarcane and sugar productivity per unit area.

Sugar production has always been a great goal for the industry. Especially in the Caribbean. Way back then there were African slaves working the industry which was inhumane. Now we have new technology that helps our production.

With the application of artifical fertilizers, u may find over time that disease issues will increase.
The soil is meant to be alive with organic humus, worms and a host of benefical organisms to prevent disease issues.
Any artifical fertilizers and poisons will decrease this biological activity and hence increase disease issues.

Okay, I am currently in the process of propogating several stalks of a few different species of sugarcane in my backyard here in the southern USA. Every video i see has sugarcane cuttings like this developing fungus while they grow. I definitely want to stop that.
Should i just my node cuttings in hot water or should I also find a fungicide to wash them in? If so, is there a retail product for small batches of this fungicide?

124 acres is a huge land for farm. If you want a profit, you should look after the market (Demand of some product) then you may share wich product to grow on. Also consider the treatment cost.

Need Help I planted Sugar Cane Seeds that I order I plated them on a tiny cardboard container with soil n cover them up the other day i took of the cover n I was HAPPY to see they r sprouting up already could see the little head n thin stem only I got scare n cover them up again!
