How much snow? How many months of snow?

Your question can be summed up in three words... lots and many. That's how it is anywhere in the Rocky Mountain valleys and more so higher up. On the east slopes of the Rockies you don't get nearly as much snow but it is generally colder.

Quite a bit of snow! Some seasons are heavier hitters than others but it’s wise to always prepare for multiple feet of snow! The first snow typically happens anywhere between mid October-beginning of November. Though it can happen sooner! The snow season usually lasts between beginning of November through end of February- however each season is different. Snow can continue well into March, depending on the season and where you are located elevation wise.
