- Go behind the scenes of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the upcoming third-person shooter/hack-and-slash sequel (read: CHAINSWORDS!), with developers Tim Willits, Oliver Hollis-Leick, Clive Standen, and Wade Pryce. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
I'm rarely hyped for a game these days but this... This one is hitting different.

Dude the marketing for this game is making it very apparent they have full confidence behind the success of this game
World War Z was an amazing game, it wasn't as big as it could have been because it released around the time zombie games were saturated everywhere in the market.
This game should be a master piece.
with all due respect, that's literally how all the games that use the Warhammer IP goes. the key is looking at how much they actually show in-depth and long term gameplay and not just cinematics and footage from controlled environments. I'm hopeful but this game can easily end up like Darktide or Blood Bowl, a grim disappointment for what can be with the cost of an 80 dollars and what should have the early access tag

To hear Oliver Hollis-Leick say he read "Know No Fear" made me so happy. People actually reading the material to understand the legion and chapters puts a smile on mya face and gives me confidence that they care.

Its like PC gamers have forgotten about how a computer works and think having the strongest GPU on the market but going cheap on the actual components that deal with NPCs/hordes you know the CPU will carry them. A strong GPU wont help if the CPU is bottlenecked ESPECIALLY with the nid hordes we are seeing.

Gaming studio spend months to years going over already established source material to make their product as faithful to the franchise as they can without trying to change the lore. The people at Disney should start taking notes.

Saber Interactive has really gone really up in my eyes as a studio these years and Space Marine 2 really shows their expertise off.
This game will be as big of a suvcess as Helldivers 2
marketing done right, not over selling the game like with totalwar while instilling hype and confidence in the game when we are often giving games not made with any passion or shown pure fabrication
