This is NOT how the collision occured. Not even close. for starters, the Olympic swung herself in the same direction the Hawke was travelling, the Hawke tried to overtake the Olympic, then was ordered by her captain to turn away from Olympic as she was too close but by error was steered even closer to Olympic. This caused the Hawke to be caught in Olympics wake and sucked into her Hull.
She protecc She attacc But most importantly *she rams the pacc* And I’m talking about the u-boat she rammed and collided with 2! Not 1 but 2! HMS Hawke and ehhhh *I F O R G O T*
In addition to the Hawke, Olympic rammed and sank a u-boat in WWI and survived a collision with a lighthouse in the 30s. She was a lot more "unsinkable" than her sisters.
And yet the inquiry, run by the Royal Navy, found Olympic responsible for the collision and the insurance refused to pay for the repairs despite HMS Hawke being the more maneuverable vessel which shouldn't have been sailing so close to the huge liner. All of the Olympic class liners had problems with hitting various objects. The Olympic hit HMS Hawke, the Nantucket lightship and U103 in WW1. The Titanic we all know about and the Britainic hit a German mine causing her to sink.
I don’t see how that was the beautiful Olympic’s fault that ship turned directly into the side of Olympic it looks like or perhaps got sucked into it by the propeller blades from being too close
I know! She has such beautiful exterior lines and her interiors were just gorgeous. Sorry, but Lusitania looks clunky next to the Olympic-class. When Harland and Wolff built a ship, they really went all-out. She even looks good in stern view, a nice balance to the decks, not looking like an block of flats but on a hull. HMS Hawke : *HELLO, ASSHOLE*
She protecc
She attacc
But most importantly
*she rams the pacc*
And I’m talking about the u-boat she rammed and collided with 2! Not 1 but 2!
HMS Hawke and ehhhh *I F O R G O T*
U boat U-103
She rammed U-103
In addition to the Hawke, Olympic rammed and sank a u-boat in WWI and survived a collision with a lighthouse in the 30s. She was a lot more "unsinkable" than her sisters.
Its an Lightship not light house she wont survive hitting rocks
@@charlesjakesamadan4924 "Lighthouse"!!! LOL thanks
This is how Olympic should've sunk
And yet the inquiry, run by the Royal Navy, found Olympic responsible for the collision and the insurance refused to pay for the repairs despite HMS Hawke being the more maneuverable vessel which shouldn't have been sailing so close to the huge liner. All of the Olympic class liners had problems with hitting various objects. The Olympic hit HMS Hawke, the Nantucket lightship and U103 in WW1. The Titanic we all know about and the Britainic hit a German mine causing her to sink.
Whos here after they found the wreck of the Hawke?
ME
Olympic: fuk you
Hawke: bruh im not gonna-
3 crashes. (I think..?)

Nantucket
SUBMARINE BOI
The real unsinkable!
Yes
@@Hello-ec7jo Btw it hurts me
@@Hello-ec7jo yo wassup!
What were the true colors of the hms hawke? I can't find a solid answer. Sometimes it's grey, and sometimes its white and black like in the video.
How do you disable all the HUD's for shots like this?
1:46 Olympic and HMS Hawke Collision!!!
Blue star line is making a video open tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!
If THIS never happened Titanic would have never sunk
@@jake.s7065 Holy God. If that never happened Titanic would have sailed 3 weeks earlier
@@VinnyS9143101982 And Edward Smith would’ve remained captain of the Olympic while Herbert Haddock would’ve remained captain of the Titanic.
I love your videos
So the suction of the R.M.S Olympic's propellers sucked H.M.S hawk into the Olympic
Yes
I don’t see how that was the beautiful Olympic’s fault that ship turned directly into the side of Olympic it looks like or perhaps got sucked into it by the propeller blades from being too close
Can’t wait 😊
Your videos are the best Dude keep it up :)

1:46 Hawke Collised By Olympic
I’m here I’m 33th
Sorry for being late
I’ve being busy. Anymore I really like the thumbnail and great video keep up the work!
33th
Technically, Olympic survived at least two collisions with other vessels in it's career; this one and the ligh ship Nantucket in 1934.
She also survived a torpedo hit and sank the U-Boat that fired that torpedo at her!
oh gosh that was close to a disaster when you see the photos anyway great video
Excited! (44 seconds left)
THE HAWKE LOOKED DIFF
What is it about that Olympic class that makes them look so majestic. I feel like in looking at perfection.
Kudos to the design department at H&W.
THIS IS WHY THEY SAID TITANIC WAS UNSINKABLE! Because the Olympic didn’t
Nobody said that in real life
R.M.S OLYMPIC WHITE STAR LINE, I know! But this is probably the reason
Cool!
What was it with Olympic class ships colliding with things? Warship, Lightship, Mine, Iceberg.
They were the largest ship's ever at the time
I like your videos. Yet I would like it if you would make a video about the Empress of Ireland sometime.
The way how it hit 3 things
Can you you do Olympic's collision with the Fort St. George in 1924
It only survived because Zeus was on board.
