Great video LadyHawk! I have been away for a week and can't believe Simba did not fledge while I was away. This was quite a 'Hissy fit'. Jackie is really a great Mom to just stay perched after all the biting and all the hopping, vocals and wingin' all around her! Thank you so much for capturing and sharing, LadyHawk!
Well that was a doozy of a tantrum. Jackie was just sitting there waiting for Simba to settle down and when he jumped back into the nest she gave him that Mum look of “Have you finished yet” 😂 I’m sure going to miss this cheeky little dude. 100 days is a nice even number to fledge Simba ❤️❤️
Wing slappin may just get that feather off Jackie nose. Lol wowza just a bite or two of fish early am. He is hungry but less food may make him get out to his next learning step. Where the food comes from. Those tizzy spins are epic, and the last leap to the top branch pretty funny, bounced off Jackie head. Cracked me up. The emotion is real. Lol TyLH

Oh my gosh, I so remember all the antics that lil boy did. He was such a spoiled brat and sure gave Mom and Dad trouble. Bless his little heart, I sure miss him..
Poor Simba!! Major hissy fits of hissy fits!! LOL..He's so hungry..no fishies today from Momma Jackie. And Momma Jackie is ALWAYS so patient! Love her so much, just hope her talons are okay! Just speculating, but parents might be cutting back on food to entice Simba to fledge?! Simba just needs to be a bit more confident but also think he's attached to this nest big time and also to the memory of Cookie. If he's starving I don't blame him for being upset. How well can he hunt at this age? Poor Jackie looks thin and unhappy. She was probably secretly glad when this child left for good.
All these comments of Simba being spoiled or a brat, he was hungry had not eaten the night before and all day..Simba was NOT a brat, eaglets don't learn to catch fish till quite a bit later and are usually taught after they fledge, he had NOT even fledged at that time!!

14 and a half 15 weeks are the late bloomers. Better safe then too early. I'd like to see him stick around no reason to go out there. They're usually in and out a couple of weeks after they fledge but he is one character that needs to entertain. We will all miss our little monster😎
Feather on her nose, head feathers a mess, toe now hurting from the hissy fit...Yep Jackie is a mom of a toddler! Simba's finding out if he wants more food he's gonna have to take the next step in his learning and fly to the water. I love how Jackie looks at Simba after he flies over her and then looks out over the area like she's thinking, where in the heck is your father, he needs to come get control of this kid! LOL (I had to mute as well! Geesh!) Love these eagles!
So tomorrow is day 100 for Simba. We can see from his wingercising (tantrums) that Simba has the wing muscle strength to fledge. Life in the nest with Mom and Dad is the only life Simba knows, I think he wants to fledge but has conflicted feelings about leaving. The huge Wandering Albatross parents feed their chick (they only have one chick each two years) until the end of summer then the parents fly off and do not return; after about 3 days the chick gets the message and fledges, they really are on their own, there is no returning to the nest which is on Macquarie Island near the Antarctic.
Simba sure wanted a fish, and mom didn't bring one. He carries on for a long time. Another learning curve for Simba - you can't always have a fish when you want one. Poor guy. Maybe dad will bring one.
At the 8:25 mark, it almost appears Jackie says under her breath, Are you done yet? But Simba quickly says, No way! And jumps over her. Tis Tis Simba :D
