Arcade I played in many years ago had this, Phoenix and Moon Cresta beside each other. Still go back to them today on MAME but I love the sounds on Space Firebird the best.
Wow, that is classic arcade gold! Thank you for rescuing and restoring these classic games. They really are amazing and deserve to be preserved and appreciated.
@@TheArcadeArchive you sound like you're somewhere down near London as you sound like me. do you still do repairs? do you have a website? Thanks for posting the video. I also have this machine with all the original board totally unmolested as i have owned it since the early 1980s along side a 1981 Galaga table top
insert name here Hi mate I’m from twickenham but moved now to Oxfordshire. I still travel back to visit family and friends. I can get it repaired what game is it ? Many thanks Alex
@@TheArcadeArchive no its ok at the moment but finding someone to work on them IF it went wrong would be a nightmare. I have a cocktail space firebird and cocktail galaga owned since 1983 by me. Normally the video's are by american posters. I was a bit shocked to hear your accent...and happy!
Nintendo Arcade.. Played SFB in the seafront arcades at Southend-On-Sea many moons ago. One arcade was called The Lucky Horse Shoe, Pier Hill, the downstairs was all fruit machines but upstairs was arcade heaven, the arcade owner charged 50p entry for one hour, games we're on free play. The owner was cool about us staying longer if it was quite at no extra cost, because of that we was always in his arcade. We even use to bunk off school and go to his arcade, and stay there playing all the greats for as long as we liked. We ended up calling the arcade the 50 pence arcade, happy miss spent days ;)
I gave this as watch as I've been playing it this week for the 10 pence arcade challenge. I enjoyed the video, some good tips and I love seeing the original machines, great stuff!
Nice Alex! I now want to break out my DVD copy of The Last Starfighter and watch it. On a side note, I picked up a working DK cabinet this weekend for my growing basement arcade. I'll tweet you a photo. Great video. Keep them coming!
Cool game!!! I'm in the U.S and don't remember this game. Looks like Phoenix and galaga . Or maybe a little of Pleiades. I'm going to have to play that on Mame. Really like your game room.
Just wanted to say that I actually have one of these machines. Mine is the sit down machine. I have had it for over 30 years. Is in storage. I have not turned it on for about 20 years. It worked last time i tried it. I'm in Australia and have thought about selling it many times, but never got around to it. Mine is in fairly good condition since I have had it so long, except I think the coin door is missing due to it being broken into by my little sister many years ago when I had the machine in storage at dad's house. These games do not seem to exist on mame machines very often. I know it is available as a ROM. I've had that for many years too. For those who haven't played it, the game is really more like a cross between galaxian and galaga.
Picked one of these up myself! Do you have links to where you got the control panel art? My CPs are in a terrible state and will need a fresh look! Cheers!
What game's tune is playing first at the very start of the video? I can't quite place it. Great collection btw, I found you after playing another Space Firebird video which was one of my favourite games and not one seen very often.
Great audio in that game!

First game I ever got addicted to. I actually stole money from my mother to play. I was 8 or 9 I think... :-)

Paul McCaskie such a good game.
I wish I could enter a score but mine is in storage 😞
That's a shame, I imagine you'd have put in a really good score!
Paul McCaskie I’ve got around 14k before
Space Firebird for Smash.
A perfect role for Space Firebird is being an assist trophy in SMASH.

My space firebird allows you to add your Initials but mine is a sega gremlin board, however it looks and pretty sure it’s Nintendo hardware
It would be it was licensed to Sega gremlin.
I’ve a few different rom sets over the years.
Picked one of these up myself! Do you have links to where you got the control panel art? My CPs are in a terrible state and will need a fresh look! Cheers!
Well your in luck Azrall, I’ve got two sets left if you want them?
@@TheArcadeArchive mate, that would be awesome. What's the best way to get in touch?
Was you at Blackpool mate I did scour the arcades looking for you but to no avail? would of been awesome to have said hello
No buddy I couldn't go in the end had to work 😞
Are you going to Nerg ?
no mate I doubt it :(
I did send you a message mate did you not get it ?
no mate no PM came through as I did ask you about them snes carts I think?

The music at the start is from my game sheriff
Thanks for watching 😎👍
Odd music in this game. That bomb that explodes with shrapnel when you shoot it is so reminscent of the exploding bee in DK3.
WildernessGames love space firebird hopefully get this game back at some point, not rare at all in the uk so should be able to pick one up again.
@@TheArcadeArchive Nice, ive never seen one over here and dont know any collectors who own it; im sure its collecting dust here and there ha.
