Issue boots literally come with care instructions that provide a phone number to contact them for repair/resoling, it’s not a secret

    UK🇬🇧here… great video…
I have a pair of Belleville 340DES and have an issue with texture and colour variation…
    Any advice?
Used a razor blade to smooth off the fluff and isopropyl to darken the other to even them up… How did this happen?

@@christopherkyledeleon4193 oh okay, I'm not sure if it's possible to resole a vulcanized boot

It is entirely possible though I can't say whether or not they do it. Newer jungle boots have a softer sole which adheres as well but it easier to rip off with some elbowgreese. Sometimes, the resolve necessitates cutting back the upper a bit which may lead to the leather cracking and tearing during lasting depending on the condition. I don't know if operations of this scale could perform that very specific task. They could probably do a Goodyear welt and vibram sole. I've had it don't by my local cobbler and it looks amazing with the stacked leather heel. Mine were coyote brown Panama sole boots. My man even dyed the leather a deep brown then waxed it. Awesome product at the end.

@@varun009 i want to see the final job. My desert storm Panama boots soles are running out after 11 years since I bought them. I need to change the sole, but I’m from Mexico and my chances here are so limited.

not really sure about removing heel counters, but i suppose it might be more comfortable on ill fitting boots than not, but man your heels are going to flop around like crazy which is already a big problem on the jungle boot uppers. those jungle boot uppers are notorious for killing heels and achillies tendons though. better option, get a quality boot that fits right instead of wearing a 60 year old boot design.
also those soles look pretty minimal, why not go with vibram 360°?

My man, do you mean to say after all that motor mouthing all you gone an done is paste -ah mean paste ? the soles back on them ol boots? lemme tell ya that my grandmother will do a proper job and ah shore means proper by sewing the replacement to the ol boot. Dats rite SEWING not spit and paste like you cuz. An den y'all go on to say that modern boots don't allow for resoling, oh my oh lawd gimmes mercy, y'all is really needing da boot inna da telefone booth. Mah buddy dingbat he done gone an said ( now ah doan who he talkin 'bout) somebody sho duz need da boot in (not up) da butt, so dat da doctur goan have ta brace his boot to haul out the boot dats in da butt. What can I tell ya?

    • @shonuffisthemaster

you dont know much about how modern boots are constructed, do you? the main reason for needing to sew an outsole on is because of incompatible materials, trying to glue a rubber outsole to a leather midsole for example, contact cement will work but its not great, thus often times its also swen on.
the boots resoled in this video have a jungle boot type upper that's got probably a polyurethane outsole and pu foam midsole direct moulded onto it. they used to direct mold and vulcanize rubber outsoles onto the boots, a technology invented in the 60's to combat the welt and sole stitches rotting out of gyw boots in vietnam. when cut in half and sanded, you have a nice clean pu foam midsole and with the right glue a new pu outsole can be attached and basically the right glue fuses the same matereals together like it was made of one piece.
you also see this glue technique when boots have a stiff pu or plastic midsole or welt, and an eva foam midsole, then a pu outsole. basically with these synthetic matereals glues nowdays are so good its far better than stitches. the only boots that really need to be stitched when resoled are stitchdown and gyw boots that have a leather welt or midsole, then through stitching the sole as well as gluing is appropreate.
