Fair play, I’m really pleased you took the time to give John his chance to put things straight. I was actually working in the Bridgend police headquarters when it came public that the bag which contained the evidence needed to convict those bent police was actually found under a coppers desk ….. after their trial collapsed…. Through lack of evidence. You couldn’t make it up.

John has mellowed almost beyond recognition! Still see glimpses of the old John now and again. Small signs of being irritated and I could see James getting uncomfortable, would have spelled trouble back in the day!
Old bill saw lynnettes murder as an opportunity to get him from under the skin. Everyone else (co accused), we’re just collateral, no even associated with each other. Good to see him looking well!

God bless you John. I can’t think of a worse case scenario of being wrongly convicted of a murder that you didn’t commit. It’s a living nightmare.
James you often give a voice to the voiceless and allow them always to express there story in a true and authentic way. I also appreciate your interview style because you know know when to speak and when to let your guest speak. You make it look so effortless but Its no easy feat constantly having to gage and read an intense interview situation. Tensions are sometimes high and emotions are often to the surface, so a calm demeanour, smile and joke helps to alleviate the situation.
Be it a sports legend or a man wrongly convicted of murder, you treat everyone with the same respect and considered attention. I respect your work and wish you continued success. Keep them coming.🥊.x

Unfortunately some Police are still racist to this day. It’s hardly surprising that black communities have no trust or respect for the police. Me being white will never really understand, but I’ve I remember when we were younger back in the 90s and early 2000s my black mate would regularly get pulled over for nothing just to inconvenience him, where as me rarely got pulled over whilst driving. The police used to make excuses why they pulled him over, but it was purely down to the fact he was black.

This podcast was simply the best one done on this awful miscarriage of justice. John was very emotional on this podcast towards the end as he talked about his daughter and the personal impact to his life and his family. I am just amazed nobody from South Wales Police went to prison for this or lost their pension. Complete and utter corruption. Only when investigated by another Police force did prosecutions even happen.

This one you need to get into James whilst on miscarriages of justice! 4 generations of 1 family 2 young girls, The mam and nam brutally murdered in ways you wouldn't believe. David Morris was fitted up and got charged with 4 counts of murder. Spent 21 years in jail for a crime he DID NOT commit. He recently died this year. His family ain't stopping campaigning to keep the 3 killers who were serving members of South Wales Police. 2 appeal fails but we're all undertaking by South Wales Police. Watch the documentaries buy the book. Then come back and tell me who the real killers are..

Great podcast James , glad this fella got justice seems like a good lad , have you ever thought about interviewing anyone from the justice for the 21 campaign ( Birmingham pub bombings ) families seeking justice and the police doing everything they can do so they can't get it , they have to collect outside football grounds , a lady called Julie Hambleton would be great on one of these , it's some story . 👍
