Just to make sure evryone remembers, most of those sngs are not really french, but brazlian bossa nova. the one "tu sais je vais t'aimer" its the literally translation of the song with same melody: "eu sei que vou te amar...."

I saw a video a couple weeks ago explaining that bossa nova did originate from Brazil, but because a specific music group was inspired by a French singer : Henri Salvador.
He grew up on a French island and his music sounded just like bossa nova (before bossa nova was called like that 🤗)

There are two versions of "Que reste-t-il de nos amours?" by Stacey Kent. This one (bossa nova, like Joao Gilberto version). And the jazz version.
Stacey Kent has a lot of french songs (Venus du melo, Raconte-moi, Les eaux de mars, etc).
There are other artists who sing in french (in bossa Nova/Jazz style): Pauline Croze, Emilie Claire Barlow, etc.
