This is a short film from early B&W Mickey Mouse Cartoon released on march 7, 1931. Mickey is a Taxi driver and drive on a bad street. Mickey pick up Minnie Mouse.
that police officer is great!
"what do you think you're doing?"
"i ..was.."
"shut up!"
classic
Wow, what a great cartoon! Wish disney could do something like this again
I think it's funny how the vehicle is personified more than any of the animals. The animation is such an improvement compared to their earlier stuff like steamboat willie and alice's wonderland. I was actually really impressed with the scene where it was following behind the cow, zooming in a 3D perspective through the environment. That stuff seems impossible to animate.
I'm 17 and I would love to see these back on tv I think they're pretty awesome tbh >
I love it how every Mickey classic got his own Soundtrack.
Did you know: In 1931, pigs were smaller than mice.
3:44 - don't know why i nearly died laughing when he said "he's gone"
4:33 - 4:37 - again, nearly laughing when the license plate says "o-heck"
gotta love these old cartoons
lmfao I love how the taxi fare keeps going up and then it's all the way back down to 35 cents.
These old (real) cartoons are wonderful!
Haha! First, the lisence plate says X034-0, but when turned around, 0-hECK.
Oh Lol! The number plate. "Oh heck"
Love the way they portray the cop. lol
I wanted to see how cartoons were like back then.
That poor car takes such a beating. Love the end, Mickey's rooster crow! XD
Damn right here is another young person that enjoys these cartoons !
3:43 He's goooone
Part of why these cartoons are so funny is because of how politically incorrect they are by today's standards. Mickey slamming his car into other cars, jumping on that poor pig, the drunk cat feeding booze to his car. Hard to believe this was intended for kids back in the day.
3:24: Well that's one way to parallel Park. LOL 😂.
I love the "he's gone" at 3:44
Why is it that the old cartoons are so much better than the crap from the 2004 range and beyond to today?
looool, tire pops, the sign on the backs flip "oh-heck" xD
in all of these old ones he tortures animals!
Hard to understand the policeman. Great cartoon!
Cartoons this old always seem strange and a bit creepy to me.
When I was a little kid in the late '50s, stuff like this was on TV, but not Disney cartoons - those were only shown on "Mickey Mouse Club" - but by other studios. One character was named Bosco and his cartoons were very much like this, with exaggerated perspective and tinny soundtracks. I didn't think they were funny; they were just strange.
Warner Bros. 1940s cartoons, on the other hand, were my favorites.
peta would love this 5:10
It's hard to believe that back then, inanimated objects came to life and some of them have minds of their own.
this is great. modern mickey suxs!
hahaha I love how the cartoon is so silly until the point when mickey notices he lost the first passenger at 3:45!
why they don't make animations like this anymore :(
3:13 to 3:50 have to be on of my favourit parts
Micky: "he's gone!" lol
2:38 car makes a derp face
Not only was Mickey Mouse a real jerk, his car probably got horrible mileage.
@bluggysluggy He says "He's gone" not oh my god.
Not sure if anyone brought this up, but they used a few of the gags from Mickey's cab on Bennie the Cab in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," especially at 1:44 and 2:14.
4:02 ❤
ahh haaha. this literally had me laughing. 3:32
@96bcrs For some reason, this is like Bill Cosby's routine on mothers asking their children questions and then telling them to shut up: "Day and night, work my fingers to the bone, for what?" "I don't..." "Shut up! And when I ask you a question, you keep your trap shut! Think I'm talking just to hear myself talk?! ANSWER ME!"
.... he’s gone....
Disney have to come back from death and kick the president of his company... we NEED this, not another hannah montannah and all that horrible thing
I haven't really got to see any of the old old old cartoons. I think the classic characters look better.
More like road rage O_O
To bad I was born in the 1990s :(
holy crap, what he did to that pig! :D

mickey cuts of the little car lolz
Man, what is it with Mickey Mouse and cruelty to animals? He was kind of a dink back in black and white ^_^
100% heartless cars will show up
Debatably the Gorilla Mystery. Although, he uses both voices there for some reason, so I'm not 100% sure that counts.
@5: 02
Ah yes, good ol' animal abuse, now THAT'S old school Mickey for ya. I love these shorts.
May the car rest in peace, at the end you can see him destroyed.
I remembered this
194th decade and 20th century
With the pig scene, I am guessing PeTA would freak. Also, Disney needs to do something with these old cartoons.
They were really cruel to animals in those cartoons,
but it still excellent.
"Shut up!" :D
i wish my car could do that
Hey why do you like to watch 80 year old cartoons? I'm curious. Yes, you, dear viewer. Tell me. Reply.
