Mirties is located 8 km from Pothia on the west side of Kalymnos. It is a seaside village which got its name from the myrtle trees that were around the area. The pebbled beach is 700 meters long with relatively shallow waters, giving a different beauty to the village and the island. Just across the beach is the island of Telendos and throughout the day there are excursions available with small boats. Taverns, bars and hotels are aplenty in Mirties.
Masouri is a great organized beach with crystal clear water and soft sand, the island's best. There are excellent views of Telendos, located just above Mirties.
