Starting at 57:40 through the end of the video....some of the best advice I've heard in my 25 years in photography. When I was TRYING to learn portraiture in the early 2000's, everyone said a portrait had to be done specifically this way or that way or it was incorrect (Rembrandt, triangle of light, etc...). I knocked my brains out and was so frustrated most of the time because I could never get that "perfect" pose and light according to the "experts". I wish I'd ignored all of that and just worked with the individual AS an individual. Great stuff.

This has the feel of the old style "Live workshops" at Adorama. It's just got flow and content and no fluff. I've seen every video you've ever posted on TH-cam. This is great man

As always, love your videos and have learned a ton from you about lighting, problem solving, interacting with your subject, and so many other things. However for me, and probably most photographers still learning with limited experience working with subjects, I don't get to work with professional models. It is always amazing to me how good they are at posing and how they seem to understand what to do to look good in a photograph with little direction. I shoot mostly business professionals, families and children who don't like to have there pictures taken, so I'd love to see a video where you bring in an average person who feels uncomfortable in front of a camera to see how you'd set them at ease and direct them into the shot you want. I don't mean this as a criticism because I do find these videos extremely helpful and your models do an excellent job.

Interesting presentation.Much better than the 1975 book of posing which I have never read.😀Thanks Daniel, Sharinna and Seth! Also Sharinna looked great in that colour green!😀🇨🇦

Thanks again Daniel! I like the idea of "natural posing" not by the book posing. Like you said, it makes the subject look much more relaxed. Loved Sharinna also, very personable and engaging! Fun video!

Why on earth do people feel the need to talk about brands and gear in the chat when the whole point of this session is posing? It's in the title! What compels you, internet commenter, to tell us you use brand X while this demo is using brand Y? This is a chance to learn real techniques from a very accomplished and skilled team of people bringing us this content for free.

Great video Daniel Norton, loved the comment of you don't sit but lean on the stool, again when it comes to photographs and posing it is all an illusion!

Never could figure out why everyone trying to learn photography ask what camera settings are being used. Means nothing with so many variables (power of lights, distance, modifiers, etc).

I am soooooo happy you didn't take that (Florida) "posing book" that you've referred to before, as a real method. :) Thanks, Danial, Sharina, and Seth!
