You know this is a baseball themed sneaker obviously (Ken Griffey Jr.)... that toe box is supposed to mimic a baseball uniform. Think about it....the players wear those all-cotton uniforms that are very similar to that material on that toe box. That's what I thought at least as soon as I pulled mine out of the box last year when i got em. I'm almost 100% sure that's why they did that bc they also did that baseball stitching and crap on the outsides. You're right though... That material on the toe box is beat bc if you spill or drip anything on them, you're screwed. Lol. You ain't using no Magic Eraser on those. Those toe boxes are basically just like regular clothing material. One of the best things about the sneaker is also that toe box bc that material doesn't get creases anywhere near as badly as canvas or leather or certain mesh does
I own over 50 pairs of AM90S so I don't have to wear each pair but once every 2 months. I've managed to avoid getting anything on either one of my toe boxes on this pair. Luckily. I never wear these out if it's raining or anything bc if anything splashes up on the front of these, they're gonna be stained forever. Lol
the pineapple's do go hard, they look way better in person too, at first when i got them I was like I probably only wear these like a couple times during the summer....... on everything they're on rotation heavily so far..... if you haven't grabbed them do so i promise you if you like the pastel vibe
