Wright v van den Bergh match was one of the best I have ever seen. Absolute roller coaster. Absolutely insane darts night both matches high finishes like crazy.
OH MY WORD. Dimitri Van Den Bergh, Peter Wright, Michael Van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall take a bow all 4 of u. That was simply breathtaking. They have served up a ridiculously brilliant night of darts. That was absolutely unbelievable, the bottle these guys have under pressure is simply astonishing. Peter Wright started off in like a man possessed but what a comeback from Dimi in the first match from 5-1 to 11-5. He wasnt even playing bad when he was 5-1 down and he never let the scoreline affect his performance. I thought he would run away with it at 11-5 but damn Peter Wright from 12-7 down to 13-12 up with a break, that was truly remarkable and a huge twist in the tale. From that point it was anybodys match but credit to Dimi for recomposing himself to get the win in the best match of the tournament so far. I thought the second one wouldnt be as close as the first and when MVG was playing the way he was at 11-4 i thought yeah routine win but boy was i wrong again. The Asp showed unbelievable mental fortitude to comeback and almost level the match. In the end, the crowd were disrupting things but MVG fittingly responded to silence the silly booers with his first ton+ checkout of the match to finish in amazing style. Bring on that semi final between MVG and DVDB i simply cannot wait for those fireworks come Saturday night.
That 146 was a thing of beauty. Especially considering the crowd were on his back. That'll teach em. Btw, if Price beats De Sousa, Price will be World Number One once again.

Wow, unbelievable games, dimi wins 10 legs on the spin to make it 11-5, wright pegs him back to 12-12 and dimi wins it confidently from there, MVG scoring really well with the 12 180's and decent finishing, aspinall with a 164 and a 90 to keep the match alive and Michael with a magical 146 to win the match! Incredible darts all round.
I was Belgian guy on July 21st (National holiday) who was almost crying of happiness when it was 11-5. After that i almost fell off my chair when it was 13-12, I was crying of sadness for my hero because whright was also playing soooo good. Erik Clarys who was commentating said in leg 27: the player who wins leg 29, will win the match. So when I saw dimi winning that leg I was screaming the whole house togheter to just roar dimi to a break of throw in leg 30. When I saw the 177 to set up 44 I knew he wouldn't miss because Eric said so. I was so pumped up that I couldn't stop cheering. I can't wait for Dimi-MvG, Belgium-The Netherlands, which makes this semi even more special. I believe in Dimi's dream to write history again! The whole country is behind you, Dimi, you can do this!

I rather think it was very warm in the hall and he had slightly sweaty hands. You saw him wipe his fingers on his trousers constantly before walking up to the oche. He also seems to hold his darts at the smooth part of the barrel, which can cause some losing of the grip.

Jesus, does Wayne Mardle do anything besides complain??? His whining is much more annoying than the booing. Darts hasn't had the tennis atmosphere for 10+ years, and it's not coming back. The sooner we all accept that, the better.

Glad Dimi won. I mean, I'm sure Pete is a nice guy, but everything about him annoys me. The ridiculous hair, the darts switching, the stupid pre and post match comments, his missus (like looking at a horror version of a moomin).....

What is up with mardle, many years ago he said the fans have payed there money to come see the players play and now he moans when the fans sympathetically boo during van gerwens game, I just don't get it.
And I don’t get you’re comment. What does paying you’re money to see the players play have to do with booing while van Gerwen is throwing? It’s ridiculous and disrespectful to do that while a match of this quality is being played. It’s fine to have a favorite but don’t try and bring the opponent down.
I'm Dutch and I don't get it either. You should expect to have the crowd against you when playing against an Englishman in England. They are professionals and should learn to tolerate it. Whistling is a different matter though, but booing is fair game.
@John Rees It’s NOT ok for anyone to do it, doesn’t matter what country you’re from. I know the PDC can’t really do anything about it but it’s still disgraceful.
@@MilanOskam I agree it is a silly thing to do. However the PDC kind of made this bed years ago when they encouraged the party type atmosphere, now they have no choice but to lie in it.
