Set this up on a power trowel with a one inch driver and 3/4 driven and when I went to spin a pan the belt kept getting stuck just wondering am I running the wrong size belt to long or too wide?
Where did you get your belt from? Also what size belt did you end up using for this whiteman 36”? I have the same power trowel I am wanting to do this conversion on.
Well I found out that my Allen power trowels lower shaft is hardened steel. I guess I will try my whiteman or mbw trowels. Have u ever ran into hardened shafts before? These are all 48" trowels with 8-9 hp motors

That conversion you did will not work. You didn't put in the brass magnets. This will totally mess up the beam stretching ability of that machine. It is now basically a huge paperweight. Great video. 😎 👍👍👍👍👍
Finally did mine it works good only problem is it started riping my belt when the cluctch opens up ....i do have a 1 inch belt intead of a 5/8 s 5 /8ths supposed to be the original one wonder if that could be the problem
Sure, but it’s super easy. Remove bolt at bottom of engine, usually in the front or back. Drain oil and replace screw. Fill up until oil runs out of port where you check it. Make sure engine is flat when you fill back up.
Erik how do I go about flatting and concrete walkway that was just poured 2 weeks and it's not flat at all and the walkway was put in so my elderly mother is able to walk in and out of the house without getting tripped for safety?

They’re like Reeves Drive pulleys. My wood lathe has basically the same thing. I can certainly see the advantage for the power trowel.

You should try a Boren trowel, they spin a lot faster the all others and it would be nice to have you review one.

36” machines don’t really need it. It’s an awesome upgrade on 48” machines though. Use Comet 40 series for those.
