  • A strong cold arrived early Monday morning bringing freezing temps to Southeast Texas through mid-morning Monday.

    Monday the 5th highs will only be in the lower to mid 40's are forecast, but wait, there's more...freezing temperatures are likely on the morning's of Tuesday the 7th , Wednesday the 8th, Thursday the 9th with highs in the low to mid 40's.
    The 12News meteorologists have declared a weather impact alert day for Sunday through Monday due to the risk of strong storms and wind chills dipping into the teens behind a cold front early Monday morning.
    Gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall are possible on Sunday afternoon through the evening.
    Temperatures will drop significantly as the cold front moves in Monday, bringing gusty winds and the possibility of severe weather, according to the 12News Weather Impact Team.
    The cold front is expected to cause temperatures to plummet, with wind chills dropping to the teens early Monday.
    Throughout next week expect cold conditions to persist with highs only reaching the 40s.
    Southeast Texans may experience several mornings with freezing temperatures throughout the week, resulting in a period of cold weather across the region.
