Dario is one of the world's best at playing MUSIC on electric bass.Everybody has chops now,but many are just moving the fingers around. This boy plays the changes FOR REAL!
Totally Victor , I'm completely fan of him and of you as well, you guys were two major influences for me ; many , many young players don't take seriously the fact of playing the changes and learning modes and scales and then to "phrase" tastefully on bass, and you know what, it SHOWS , most young bassplayers don't know what to play on a basic altered chord no more , and the reason for that unfortunetely is because most of the younger listener don't even notice and hear the mistakes beeing made anymore! so yeah , why bother learning harmony , when you can please folks with wack ass fancy shit uh..lol well , I 'm saying it , THIS above, is the kind of playing I respect ;
Victor You are so right about Dario, he is one of the greats ... You, him, Jeff Andrews ... too sad that You're not with us anymore ... i love the way You used to improvise ... so original, and melodic ... no patterns everywhere ... it takes me just a second to recognize Your bass solos ... You had such a great fat tone on bass .. we will miss You a lot Victor ...
Victor and Hadrien, i agree with you guys. Dario is one of the finest bass players, he have a great feeling and vocabulary playing his bass. It's an pleasure to hear bass players like you guys, Dario, Victor and Hadrien.
Pochi trucchi molto studio e molta sostanza. UN MUSICISTA.
Wow on this video, Victor, Thiago, and Hadrien have all given props... When 4 of the best bassists (including Dario) convene in a single 'place' online....I guess I'm moved!
This is one of the best player, and I like so much is a real Master, agree with Victor Bailey,Hadriene Ferraud and Thiago Espirito Santo, I,m so proud and happy to be a musician and a follower and a big fan of all you as well and a big influence for me so far. God bless you all.
great! and you should see Dario Deidda in this video from Jean-Pierre Como - at 2:30 :-))) Jean Pierre COMO - Boléro -teaser album sortie septembre 2013
Dario's strings action is quite high ... one day i picked his bass, but it was very hard form me to play it even if it is a jazz bass just like mine ... that's the first thing to get that woody big tone ... i should start to raise the strings on my bass cos i love this tone ... of course it's not only the action, but it helps a lot to get this result. :-)
yes, trust me. even some other friends of mine noticed that. You are right ... even Jaco used to say : to get a good tone you have to keep that s....t high ! ;-)
+Mariano Sanchez In my opinion the only thing in this video that let me think to Pastorius is the electric Bass! Dario Plays bebop lines.... Jaco had a different way to play! also the walking Bass is very different!!
+Dna Dna Yes of course Jaco has had a great impact on future Jazz bass players and so, on Dario too... but in this specific case Bill Evans has had a great influence on Dario.... note the coherence and the elegance of his solo!!! In fact Dario is also a very good Jazz Piano player!

Dario is great! He also plays trumpet and piano! :D

+Victor Bailey How true. Since Jaco everyone thinks blisteringly fast is the way to go, but who knows how to play Melody in a bassline?

Dario Deidda might be the finest bassist in jazz in the last 20 years or more. Masterful

Technical mastery is important and can be taught. Soul is important and cannot be taught. Dario uses his mastery to express that soul.
Dario, sei un alieno. 👾👍👾👍

+spacemanbose E' davvero incredibile il suo gusto armonico e bebop.Un Gigante!!
Damn man, all the guys are over
Damn right!
vedere tre pollici verso il basso mi fa rabbrividire....
hanno avuto problemi di mira ! ; ))))))

That sounds so much like an upright . How do you get that?
i think is the passive jazz bass, plus a lot of hand intention in the playing...staccato's, ghost notes, trying imitate an upright
+jazzz65 very high action? jeez, imagine how hard is playing this complex solo on a very high action bass! Dario is the best of the bests
yes, trust me. even some other friends of mine noticed that. You are right ... even Jaco used to say : to get a good tone you have to keep that s....t high ! ;-)
Do you know what strings is he using???
cocco strings 45 /105 round wounds obviously : )
Fuck yeah!!!!
love 3:49 〜
Prego, ne metterò altri...

BASS HERO
Apart from my twin brother Joe Goose, Dario is my favourite bass player in the world
Very Pastorius, but a monster!!!!
+Mariano Sanchez In my opinion the only thing in this video that let me think to Pastorius is the electric Bass! Dario Plays bebop lines.... Jaco had a different way to play! also the walking Bass is very different!!
+Mariano Sanchez Not Pastorius at all to my ears. More focused, more musical, but of course Jaco did get there first.
+Dna Dna Yes of course Jaco has had a great impact on future Jazz bass players and so, on Dario too... but in this specific case Bill Evans has had a great influence on Dario.... note the coherence and the elegance of his solo!!! In fact Dario is also a very good Jazz Piano player!
not at all. yes Jaco was playing bass too. two very different approaches to a bass solo.
@@Ingezz Nah, there's quite a bit of Jaco in Deidda playing & I think Dario would be the first to admit that... & it's a great thing!
