Ian, use two spacers for the bottom controls arm to center the control am since you centered the top coil spring pocket bracket. Good luck on the steering rack. Bump steer is sometimes an issue with lowering Mustang 2.

Ian i know i have a lot of comments but the importate one is the top hat tilting to the front for antidive.the new ones you have are level.i place a 2x6 under crossmember with a short one under crossmember aprox 2 ft and another longer out to ball joints giving lower arms slightly lower than level for proper ride height.i have installed over20 ov these susp.in hot rods and fixed over 10 that were not installed properly.im no know it all but have exp.if you want to stop straight under hard braking include the anti dive into install

Weld temp brace from cross member to top hat top inside will still slide fore and aft for axle center line then put Temp bar from top of all thread to other all thread also front of top hat needs to be half inch higher than back helps in anti squat during braking

You can tell Ian always has safe and healthty at the forefront of everything he does. By the way, just for anyone thinking about doing odd things, I filled an aerosol with jenolite rust converter recently and it had some sort of reaction with the propellant and it exploded on the bench 😮, acid everywhere, thankfully not on me. Don't try this at home folks lol.

I opened a 4lt can of brush on rust converter once that had been sitting in the hot car, the lid smacked me in the face but also shielded my face from the contents... the rest of my head and my neck etc, copped it all and it burnt like hell.

I have really enjoyed all your shows. I check youtube each day for updates. One think that I would like to offer is years ago I was like Ian and had my nuts, bolts, washers in a pile. I took the time one day to make wooden boxes on draw slides, labeled them, separated them and put them in an old cabinet on the wall. Pull out the box you need, you should find what you are looking for much quicker. I also have some old cricket plastic sheets that I pour them out on and then all I have to do is pick up the sheet and pour them back in the boxes. Just a thought. Really enjoy the way you make decisions on the fly and not have to follow some pre drawn project.

What you drew on the floor is just what we did to my 50 Dodge p/u. I put a mustang 2 front clip in and I bought it from Speedway. Motors and the kit was for a Chevy p/u 51 to 53. The frame rails on my Dodge were much wider. than the Mustang, but we got it to fit like a glove.
