Talk about foul ups. The other night was the first night clear in weeks. I imaged NGC 1893/the tadpole. 4 1/2 hours on my 2600 duo. Next morning I took the usb and thought I transferred to my laptop. Then erased my usb . Thought I transferred is the word. No files on the laptop. Honestly felt like crying.
@@JohnMat-l1z I once took 4.5 hours of jpegs on the California nebula after getting my modified camera back from the shop. They must’ve changed the camera’s settings and I didn’t notice until it was too late.
Night skies not much different in NE NSW, Australia, sunny days and then the clouds arrive early evening. Got a clear night last Friday and imaged The Great Carina Nebula, only to realise 45 minutes in that I forgot to enable the Dual Narrow Band filter. IR cut was enabled. Was I disappointed with the image, no, it turned out way better than I thought it would. Sometimes a mistake can be encouraging.
