I bought the charcoal Atlas based on your review a few months ago and absolutely adore it. I've worn it every single day, sometimes even falling asleep with it on, since mid February and had it not been for your videos on Monta I would've never known about this great brand, so thanks for that!
Another nice review, Gringa! I got my Minty Monta and it's as nice as you say. Super comfortable, great proportions, sweet dial, and unbeatable price. Great people, fast delivery, and they even fixed the misspellings on their website (except they still call their white diver dial opalin, which is a neurological protein, not opaline, i.e., opalescent -- what they mean). Your misgivings about the clasp are on target. The bracelet adjustment was so rough I gave it some light oil, which helped. And the clasp is harsh because it uses steel on steel, not steel on ceramic like Tudex bracelets do. One correction: the M-22 / Sellita SW300 is a clone of the classic ETA 2892-A2 BUT this model has the optimization barrel that gives it 56 hours of power reserve not just 42.
I have owned the Blue Monta Noble for going on a couple of years. The dial, finishing, and proportions all are superb - esp. for the price point. Only negative is the stiff clasp, but it improves over time/usage. Its a superb watch and has a slot in my main box (six slots). Monta is also great to order from and offers a top notch box to make it feel premium and luxury - which it 100% is. Hope the road to recovery is going well!
I have a Triumph with the old clasp, and I agree it can be stiff. My mint green Noble that I just received has an updated clasp that is much less stiff. A big improvement IMO.
I like the look of the Noble, but it's a bit of a hard sell compared to the Longines Conquest 38mm. The Monta is within £400 of pricing but comes with zero brand/heritage and equal (or slightly worse) build quality. Subjectively the Longines looks slightly more high end to me. It's a hard sell for me, but I like what Monta are doing.
I saw this watch for the first time in person at Windup Watch Fair. I prefer the blue dial personally but I agree that it feels amazing on the wrist. Definitely one of (if not) the best bracelets I’ve ever tried on.
So I just received my mint Noble. In the review Britt stated that she did not like the clasp on the mint Noble prototype she reviewed. In her review of the Atlas she also complained that the clasp on that watch was stiff and difficult to close. The updated mint Noble I received has an upgraded clasp similar in appearance to the clasp on the third generation Ocean King. The upgraded clasp is much easier to close and looks great.
I wasn't shocked that it's limited, but I am shocked by how limited it is. Beautiful dial color and spot on proportions. What's not to love? Thanks for another great video. Keep feeling better!
Damn it, this was on my mind for a whole week until i bit the bullet and preordered. As a fan of mint flavor things (and pistachio flavor too), this shade of mint green is just soooo on point, haven't seen another watch with this same shade of mint, not even the Traska. And the Monta finishing on top of it is just *chef's kiss*.
Are you getting excited? Watch should be mailed in the next week or so. I almost cancelled my preorder to buy the 3rd Gen Ocean King. But for some reason the new OK seems a little off to me. Can't wait to receive my mint Noble.
Nice video and watch. Hadn’t heard of Monta before but like the dial colour and bracelet, not sure about the bulky clasp but amazing value at the price.
Britt! Nice watch and great video. Monta does seem to be a rising star. Funny you mention the Tudor BB models, got to try on a BB41 with the "5 link bracelet wink wink" and was awesome. Back to Monta, I have subscribed to their e-mails and look forward to them. Always a little sad I missed out on the OceanKing, but the Skyquest keeps catches my eye. Long Live the Cult(s)!!

I actually flipped my (last generation) Tudor BB 41 for the Monta Noble when it launched. Both are great but I never connected to the Tudor. I love the Monta. I have the silver dial. By the way, Monta totally had a limited run Tiffany dial last year too. As well as a pink dial.
It’s all about finding the watch that works for you! ^_^ 💕 that is awesome! Also! I love the blue and pink Monta!! They’ve got all the cotton candy colours now😜✨
I love that mint colour! I don’t reckon I can pull it off with a 6.25” wrist but if they made it in a 36 or 37mm I’d be all over it. It’s gorgeous! Thanks Britt, cool vid
I love what Monta has done with their range. My only gripe, and I will admit it is a very specific one, is wanting to use flat sapphire crystals one their range. I just prefer the look of a domed sapphire, even if it means adding the smallest bit of thickness. But that’s just me…
Great review Britt. Seems that just about everyone is jumping all over the 39mm to 36mm band wagon and I must say this is fantastic. I’m getting older now and am slowly selling off my larger watches and replacing them with more reserved sizes but that being said I do love me a big ass watch every so often. I just got a Monta Skyquest, Opalin dial, and it's impressive. The only complaint I have is there needs to be an instruction booklet. There needs to be more information on how to use the GMT. Of course, GMT instructions are on TH-cam, but including the instruction booklet with the watch would be good.
Totally agree, why on earth some brands continue to make clasps without micro adjust on the fly is beyond me! Big brands just can not get away with it anymore! They are relying on pure hype when they should be working harder for our money. There is soooooo much choice and so many watches to love. If I see a watch with a SS bracket without micro adjust on the fly I won’t spend my money on it. Great video as always. Look forward to getting a Monta one day 😁💜
Britt trust me on this please! Try get the NEW Yema Wristmaster in for review, the one with the in-house micro rotor movement that has been anodized in blue, green and black.

Totally agree about micro adjustments. My Aqua Terra is aggravating in that respect. If my CW can have it at less than half the price then ALL watches should have it. Okay, my rant for the day is out of my system. Congrats in your continuing recovery
Reading this in your bio made me subscribe. "This is mostly just me, chatting watches, getting drunk, having fun; LIFE IS SHORT! don't take it too seriously!"
The mint green Noble has the new Sellita 300 movement and, as opposed to the Opalin Silver, Blue and Anthracite Nobles, has a 56 hour power reserve. I confirmed this with Monta.
I don’t know what’s going on with Monta. Here’s a new dial color - wow, so ingenious…they haven’t made any actual updates to their lineup in YEARS. It’s bizarre, as if they don’t want to move forward in any way.
The only thing i can find to "complain" about, is that the logo should definitely be applied! Monta has said that would come with a hefty price increase, but i believe the Noble with new colorways like this and an applied logo would absolutely go off! Great review!!
Great review, as always! I would like to more of the story behind the watch. I understand the owners are St. Louis based?!? Who is making this watch, what does "Monta" mean, etc...
First! Ha! It's a nice looking watch for sure - price is good compared to Tudor, but still weighty at $1795+shipping+VAT+handling (near £1900). I'd love to get my mitts on one and have a look - are there any ADs in the UK that carry Monta?
Rod Carr! The very first! 💕👏🏻 you know! Excellent point about the shipping and VAT and all that malarkey! Let me email the Monta people to ask if they have any ADs here in the U.K.! 😱 I truly don’t know! I don’t think so tho. 🤔
No ADs here. They are missing a trick as the import adds 20% to the cost, so with £50 shipping you're looking at £ 1800 ish. It nearly stopped me buying my wife a pink noble but hey she loves it and is probably the only person in GB NI wearing one!
Hey Britt, I wish you a wonderful weekend 😎I like the Monta Skyquest, the "Sub"... I like it but it looks like a Rolex Sub so I do not buy it. And I think it's to expensive, not because of the quality, but because of it's not a Tudor. I have a few watches in the price range, e.g. from Seiko and what can I say, I mostly wear my Tudor BB58, my Speedy or others in the price range. So I wear my BB58 today and save up for an Omega Seamaster or Breitling. Which one would you recommend from Breitling? My wrist 19.5cm.
Awesome video as always britt will you be checking out the new christopher ward 12 they look so good 👍 hope your jaw is healing well enjoy your weekend 🙂
My sole critique of Monta's watches is based on my sole ownership of a gen 1 Opaline Skyquest. The clasp is a little too stiff to easily secure, at least on mine. I have to push down harder than I would like to get the button snapped into place but otherwise love the watch. Fit and finish, the bracelet and value, really do make some of the bigger brands look overpriced.
@@BrittPearceWatches Thank you for saying so about the clasp on this watch, that does change things a little bit. While this color isn't necessarily for me, I do recognize that it's still a great watch. I hope whatever colorways the introduce next are more to my liking because a second Monta can't hurt can it?
No quick release strap would be a negative comment i'd make. Plus the straps are thru a sister company (everest) so you probably pay shipping and tax twice (once for watch and then again for additional straps)
WE ARE WEIRDOS!!! Let’s gooo. Will gringa go for the hat trick ? Another video tomorrow? Pretty please? 😂 That is quite a sweet and noble Monta tbh. Case size is perfect. AND the on the fly adjustment makes life so much easier. 👌🏼
They are great...but sadly,Mido gives us 80 hours of power reserve, true gmt,200 m WR in all ocean stars starting from 1000£.... but I love them, cuz ...Gringa says so... They have to add something unique...In house movement...or some special stainless steel like Treska....Dunno...
Sw300 vs sw200 with on the fly micro adjustment clasp. Finishing on the Monta is above but not by much but that’s what watch game is. If anything Direnzo is closer to a Formex than a Monta but Formex you are also paying for their querks (on the fly adjustment butterfly clasp, strap buckle, changeable bezels etc)
@@n0ne846 I do have micro adjustment and quick-release spring bars on my Direnzo bracelet. I have never seen a Monta "in the flesh" but finishing on Direnzo is outstanding! Nothing to be ashamed of when put next to a Rolex or an Omega!
This one suits you Britt. But I have a question ... given that I have some Cartier glasses, shouldn't I buy a Santos Dumont? It seems only yesterday that you were all over the Santos. Now who am I to judge your ...what shall we call it ... "open relationship" with watches, but surely there's some kind balance to be struck between loyalty and promiscuity. 🤷♂
I think the best GADA watch is the worst GADA watch. The idea of just using a watch for anything and everything regardless of the “type” of watch is just so badass.
Doesn't anyone else think the indices are too short, leaving way too much empty space on the dial? People are praising proportions, but I think the proportions are off.
As much as i do like it, I think a few Chinese brands are making almost the same kind of watch for ten times less. Or for five times less. Of course this one has a nice name and seems to be better thought than most Chinese brands. That color is beautiful, but im having something like a Chinese quality crisis in my head. I feel confused, insecure, I just can’t understand the enormous difference in prices for small differences in quality anymore.
You're not going to find something so thin with this nice movement. The finishing on Monta is better than any Chinese brand. The bracelet will be better than those as well.
Monta watches are extremely comfortable to wear. I’m a big fan of what they’re doing. In their price range, I think they’re the best. I also think their finishing details and bracelets can go toe to toe with watches twice their price. They use off the shelf movements, that’s the only thing keeping them from that next level imo.
Gringa Saturday 🎉 This week was on fire with all the content you put out B. I remember that I said on Patreon that this was a Casio Tiffany homage……..but watching it closely I think it is a Tissot PRX mint dial homage 😜 Have a fantastic weekend 🙌🏻
Oh thanks Fernando!!! I’ve been trying to post 3 videos this week! 😱 this is 2/3! Now I’ve gotta edit until my fingers fall off to get 3/3! 😱 lesson learned: 3 is too many! 😂🙈🙈💕💕💕
I think one of the downsides of only reviewing watches you like and/or have good feelings about is that it doesn't exercise your 'critical' functions the way reviewing watches you don't like does. So if you want some potential negatives: 1. nice but fairly generic design - could have come from 100 brands. 2. this GADA style watch is cool in a really small collection but in a larger collection - say 7 or more (apparently the average collection size for enthusiasts) is it special enough you'd ever pick it up to wear? If you've got one GADA piece do you really want another? 3. the clasp looks really long and thick - fine when walking around but look pretty bulky - dont know if I could wear it working at a desk. 4. only available in one size so will be a decent compromise for a lot of people but only really right for a limited number. 5. very simple - again generic (almost catalog) case 6. hour hand too short
It's definitely tempting... but I'm fortunate to have a 36mm mint green Traska Summiteer. Most importantly though, it takes away from my 1st Cartier fund, a big no no!

Haha! Yeah! I think it has quite nice proportions! :)
Gotta see you rock a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, at a discrete 45mm. I actually think it will look great 😅
Awesome video as always britt will you be checking out the new christopher ward 12 they look so good 👍 hope your jaw is healing well enjoy your weekend 🙂
Oh man! I need to try to get hands on woth the new CW! 🙈💕
Really love what Monta is doing. They make the whole luxury market look silly.
Right?! 🎉
You know! I said the same thing on my atlas review! It had a really stiff clasp! But this one did not at all! 😱
@@BrittPearceWatches Thank you for saying so about the clasp on this watch, that does change things a little bit. While this color isn't necessarily for me, I do recognize that it's still a great watch. I hope whatever colorways the introduce next are more to my liking because a second Monta can't hurt can it?
is this still the flavor of the week?
Love the song! 😅
That is quite a sweet and noble Monta tbh. Case size is perfect. AND the on the fly adjustment makes life so much easier. 👌🏼
I AM GOING FOR THE HAT TRICK!!!Editing right now! hahaha! A far more experimental video for me ^_^
They are great...but sadly,Mido gives us 80 hours of power reserve, true gmt,200 m WR in all ocean stars starting from 1000£....
but I love them, cuz ...Gringa says so...
They have to add something unique...In house movement...or some special stainless steel like Treska....Dunno...
Mido is so freaking GOOD! Such strong offerings! I should get in touch with them to see if they’d ever send me some watches in! 😱💙
Nice. When are you going to review the Christopher Ward Trident 300?
This watch should perfectly comply with walking off and visiting local ice-cream parlour, the best four scoops of pistachio dessert.
Monta are fantastic and if you're looking for a new watch Monta have to be seen, they are good value.
Right?! Absolutely love them! I need to try to get hands on with the Slyquest next!!
Like it... a lot but compared the two Direnzo I own I can't see why the price is twice higher. Direnzo watches quality is really excellent!
Hmmm! I need to check out Direnzo! 😅
@@BrittPearceWatches Yes! Run!
it looks perfect on your wrist
This one suits you Britt. But I have a question ... given that I have some Cartier glasses, shouldn't I buy a Santos Dumont? It seems only yesterday that you were all over the Santos. Now who am I to judge your ...what shall we call it ... "open relationship" with watches, but surely there's some kind balance to be struck between loyalty and promiscuity. 🤷♂
😂😂😂
It’s a gorgeous watch but what stopped me from buying it are the clasp and the date which in my opinion ruins it.
I think the best GADA watch is the worst GADA watch. The idea of just using a watch for anything and everything regardless of the “type” of watch is just so badass.
Hey Britt, can you include the metric rist size of you and your husband?
That’s a nice looking watch, Britt! Thanks for taking the time to review it for us.
Oh it’s my pleasure!! I’m so glad Monta sent it to me! Fantastic watch!
I LOVE The Pope Tier Song. I sing it to myself in the shower.
You know, some people just feel so…. Threatened by my talent. 😂
You're amazing! ❤x
Doesn't anyone else think the indices are too short, leaving way too much empty space on the dial? People are praising proportions, but I think the proportions are off.
Yep
You know! I didn’t notice this! But now that you’ve said it… the indices could be a bit larger !
Overpriced. Does Monta know the quartz PRX gives you the same look and a great feel on the wrist for $395?
You're pretty good, like your style. I have a monta triumph, which in my opinion is a sleeper but will be recognized as having a unique aesthetic. Bye
How is your jaw coming along?
Best wishes as ever to you & your loved ones.

Yes! Seamless!!!!
Good looking watch :)
Right?! Love it!
Thanx Britt 🥃🥃🥃
As much as i do like it, I think a few Chinese brands are making almost the same kind of watch for ten times less. Or for five times less. Of course this one has a nice name and seems to be better thought than most Chinese brands. That color is beautiful, but im having something like a Chinese quality crisis in my head. I feel confused, insecure, I just can’t understand the enormous difference in prices for small differences in quality anymore.
You're not going to find something so thin with this nice movement. The finishing on Monta is better than any Chinese brand. The bracelet will be better than those as well.
Can’t find this watch anywhere
Monta watches are extremely comfortable to wear.
I’m a big fan of what they’re doing. In their price range, I think they’re the best.
I also think their finishing details and bracelets can go toe to toe with watches twice their price. They use off the shelf movements, that’s the only thing keeping them from that next level imo.
Right?! I couldn’t agree more with all of this! 👏🏻👏🏻✨
As a Welshman, I agree to a certain extent, very good value.
To me though, Christopher Ward is hitting the heights 👍
The problem is that ”Monta” is slang for Menstruation in Sweden…
Like Chevrolet Nova (No va - Not Go) … it never sold in Spanish speaking countries
What about the lume ?
Gringa Saturday 🎉
This week was on fire with all the content you put out B.
I remember that I said on Patreon that this was a Casio Tiffany homage……..but watching it closely I think it is a Tissot PRX mint dial homage 😜
Have a fantastic weekend 🙌🏻
Oh thanks Fernando!!! I’ve been trying to post 3 videos this week! 😱 this is 2/3! Now I’ve gotta edit until my fingers fall off to get 3/3! 😱 lesson learned: 3 is too many! 😂🙈🙈💕💕💕
Like it! ⌚
I think one of the downsides of only reviewing watches you like and/or have good feelings about is that it doesn't exercise your 'critical' functions the way reviewing watches you don't like does. So if you want some potential negatives:
1. nice but fairly generic design - could have come from 100 brands.
2. this GADA style watch is cool in a really small collection but in a larger collection - say 7 or more (apparently the average collection size for enthusiasts) is it special enough you'd ever pick it up to wear? If you've got one GADA piece do you really want another?
3. the clasp looks really long and thick - fine when walking around but look pretty bulky - dont know if I could wear it working at a desk.
4. only available in one size so will be a decent compromise for a lot of people but only really right for a limited number.
5. very simple - again generic (almost catalog) case
6. hour hand too short
It's definitely tempting... but I'm fortunate to have a 36mm mint green Traska Summiteer. Most importantly though, it takes away from my 1st Cartier fund, a big no no!
OH YES to the Cartier fund!!! Santos?! 😱✨
Wow 9.7mm thick!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey, I thought you liked only black watches.....
