  • After the live workout for Basic Racket Skills (you can find it here: • 20 Min Basic Racket Sk... ) I also wanted to design a session for basic Footwork Skills in Badminton. In this workout I guide you through several exercises to improve or learn the split step as well as basic lunges to the front court and the sides.
All exercises can be done at home if you have a little bit of space (around 3m x 1,5m) four markers and Indoor shoes. The exercises are beginner friendly but they can also help experienced players to improve the fundamentals of their badminton footwork and also increase their badminton specific fitness, without the needs of a court or partner.
If you are looking for more details and insights on lunges and the split step then defintly check out these videos:Explosive Start and Split Step: • Explosive Start and Sp... 6 keys for a perfect Lunge: • The 6 keys for a perfe...
    --Important----------------------------------------------------------------------
Please be careful if you workout at home, especially when you practice with little space. Make always sure, that you are not doing exercises too close to the wall and if an exercise is new to you always start slow, so that there is no risk for injury.
