In the past a lot of the players were overweight and overage. That’s why we struggled to qualify for the World Cup even though we had a very good team. Other mismanagement factors could have contributed too. These days the players are younger and may look tiny but they’re fit, energetic and fast. Look at Saka of Arsenal, Kudus, Messi, Partey, Tariq Lamptey, Rashford etc. They’re all smallish but fit, fast, skillful and energetic.
Nanabanyin is STILL handsome! The late Salifu Ansah taught Nanabanyin the BLOWS during the aerial tussles. Great candid conversation indeed I realy enjoyed the ONE-ON-ONE interview. Joe Debrah, Robert Eshun and Isaac Kwaakye were ALL instrumental in their 4-2, win against Hearts of Oak and this match was an EPIC encounter indeed
Salifu Ansah and Nana Banyin were one of my favorite goalkeepers when growing up. I admire him but I also know he was a bit indisciplined and made terrible mistakes in goal. He served Hearts well but his departure was a very unfortunate incident. The management of the team weren’t fair to him.
