The studio choom choreo vid is worth a watch. It was the first time they were on it and it was a big deal to the girls. When this vid came out so many people were trying to figure the meaning out! You're probably the only person who first saw them do part of the choreography for Puppet Show at double speed on Weekly Idol before you saw their dance practice video. So now you only have to watch their performance they did at Studio Choom and their Relay Dance video of this song.
There was a theory I liked that it's about the idol industry and after saying let's switch roles they are referencing the way idols are often controlled. Here they are taking that power back and getting what they want, their dreams, their way. Not saying that's right but I enjoy the take.
It's supposed to look like that Harvey has no teeth or black teeth because in old Asian culture there were several methods used to prevent women from leaving or divorcing their husband by making them look hideous and ugly in society that no other man would ever want them. It's the same reason for example why Hinata has that weird antler hairstyle at the beginning of the MV. Also at the very end of the MV after the credits you'll notice how Puppet Show is done in an unusual font like it's strings od DNA which was teasing their performance video for Hesonoo & X-Gene and something they do in that video and if I'm not mistaken also their mini album NEW DNA unless they already announced it around the time New dance had came out.
