This is a great resource. I'm teaching my 3rd graders a song from Ghana and I can't wait to share this video with them!

The tradition will go on! No worries my beautiful people. Here, I know for FACT that black Americans will LOVE to pass on musical traditions along with the dances, as they are Ghanean and their ancestors who were stolen/sold off to here have indeed brought those traditions to wherever they were sent - by the colonizers- to "live". Everyone knows that the colonizers had chopped their hair, branded them, tore off their jewelry and clothing to stand them out in the open to publically shame them, took their everything, outlawed their drumming, music, singing, dancing, and outlawed their original African names and replaced their names with colonizers names, and outlawed their a ability to read. They didn't even let them go pee when they truly needed to! So yes! The blood runs strong through their veins. They - generation after generation after generation - have NEVER cared to be so distant from their homelands and most all of them want NOTHING to do with the colonizers ways or mindsets and they want ALL that was taken from them BACK!

White people can be Desperate to try to claim Africa. Look at how they try to claim Elon Musk as African American. That’s because Africa has something that they lack!

Hi everyone - the website listed in this video has been taken down. Apologies for any confusion. It was set up to launch the project, not hold resources, so you won't be missing anything. thanks for your interest.

Sorry Aboe, the website is now off line. It was set up as we were getting the project started (2014) and is now obsolete. We will just be using the TH-cam channel. We are just sitting down now to put some more time into editing and posting more files. It's fallen off the radar a bit as 'life' has gotten in the way! Thanks for your comment.

oops - I don't think I replied. We took the website down as it was related to getting the project started. It was costing money to maintain and we didn't have the need anymore. I regret putting the website address in the video - but hey ho!
