I rode my first excursion with her this year on October 14 which was known as the fall color run from Hillsdale to Angola and then all the way back. It was one of the best train rides I ever had and inspired me to book more trips with her next year when the next schedule comes
A force to be reckoned with, thousands of pounds of steel and steam ripping through the silence, when people thought of steam excursions it's no wonder why the 765 is one of the first to come to mind
765 and 1225 or actually two of the most iconic engines being Berkshire‘s and all that carry the same thoughts when you think about steam when it comes to mind but then again there’s also the other preserve steamers that operate on the main line
This is a favorite of mine as well. A rare time that I was able to get a secluded location all by myself with no clicking cameras, or people jabbering near my microphone!
@@RailwayProductions Funny thing. I was on the Wabash Cannonball excursion in 2015. That was my first ride on the NS mainline and behind a Berkshire. Also C&O 2716 is being restored in my state of Kentucky. Maybe you guys can do a video production on it once it returns to the rails.
good god that whistle...I know 765 has dawned many whistles but which is this one? It's my favorite one. It sounds so ghostly, so demanding. So....right for it.
Such an outstanding video! Very well put together. I know I am in the minority here but personally, I prefer the 765 without the mars light. I think it’s a cleaner look.
If I'm not mistaken and if I'm correct, I think this is the steam locomotive. That inspired the fictional steam locomotive of The Polar Express, from both the original classic Christmas holiday storybook and the timeless animated movie. Is this the steam locomotive that inspired the steam locomotive for the Polar Express, please let me know with your replies
Some parts from 765 were modeled on the model 1225 got scanned as for aesthetic looks to make the engine look closer to a erie s3 and not a n1 Berkshire.. as far as ive gathered and heard
This happens to be one of my top 5 favorite Railway Production dvds I've seen and own.
I'm glad you've enjoyed my work!
@@RailwayProductions Np, my liking for 765 has grown so much since I first saw this program back in 2018.

Delighted Thanks 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
. It was pure bliss to watch and enjoy 765 in action. This has to be in the top 3 train videos I've watched. Bravo!
Bob thanks for the kind comment. Carson Hill was the hardest I've ever heard a steam locomotive work.
Nice video! I'm so ready for this!
That’s awesome!
I remember catching 765 at Toledo Union Station in 2015.
Absolutely amazing! My favorite scene in this whole program is east of Attica on 9/11/2012 on her way to New Haven from Decatur.
This is a favorite of mine as well.
A rare time that I was able to get a secluded location all by myself with no clicking cameras, or people jabbering near my microphone!
@@RailwayProductions Even the Europeans especially the British think American locomotives are huge and have absolute strength
Nice!! Love it!
Thank you!

@@RailwayProductions do you know when full video of big steam featuring nkp 765 sp 4449 and up 844 will be posted on youtube?
Same, 765 is actually the reason why I pretty much got into steam locos and railfanning
EXCELLENT production. Very nice videography and narration.
Thank you very much! Really appreciate the comment!
During the summer of 2015.

765 is the FWRHS's baby
I wish we could have one for my state, Chances are it would be a CNJ Pacific
I like NKP 765. She the Best steam locomotive in the country. Right?

Glad you enjoyed the program! Yes, 765 looks really sharp with the one headlight.
Would you do Steam in the Spring.
Belongs to Fort Wayne Indiana..
I wonder if Nickel Platte would run to Denver and return.
Anything is possible but 765 pretty much stays east.
I bet this train used to run in the New River Gorge in West Virginia in the early 1990’s.
@@jhoshuathomas6899 The 765 even did so in the 1980s as well.
Hey Les what's the next one and when is it going to be public?
BNSF in the Mojave Desert, March 1 9pm eastern.
Waow Amazing video gaes
1:25:15 this is the last time a steam locomotive will ever cross this historic structure, similar to UP 3985 on the Kate Shelly bridge in 2008.

765 in nearly identical to Pere Marquette 1225 which was the pattern for the Polar Express animated locomotive.
I heard that there was a art which instead of 1225 it was 765 on the polar express

The proper pronunciation of the word "Tunkhannock" uses 3 syllables (Tunk-HAN-nock) not 4 syllables (Tunk-a-han-ock).
Too bad that the sound went out @ 30:17 in.
They do not make them like this anymore
