- Geely Galaxy E8 2024 in-depth Walkaround
The 2024 Geely Galaxy E8, a remarkable five-meter-long electric sedan, boasts an impressive array of features. Its standout attribute is a colossal 45-inch smart screen, unrivaled as the largest of its kind globally. Alongside this tech marvel, the car offers ambient lighting that complements its spacious interior, augmented by a panoramic sunroof for an expansive view.
The Galaxy E8 model presents itself in three versions, each catering to distinct power and range specifications. The 400-volt version 1 houses a 62-kilowatt battery, propelling a 272-horsepower motor that affords a commendable 342-mile range. In comparison, the 400-volt version 2 shares the same motor as its predecessor but integrates a robust 76-kilowatt battery pack, amplifying its range significantly to 413 miles. Furthermore, the 800-volt version distinguishes itself with a dual-motor setup, combining a 224-horsepower and a 421-horsepower motor, both energized by a 76-kilowatt battery pack, aligning its range with the 413-mile mark. Notably, the Galaxy E8 stands as a testament to Geely's technological prowess by incorporating NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) 2.0, elevating the driving experience with advanced autonomous navigation capabilities.

So much luxury, but why not a powered frunk ?
What is a powered frunk?
Probably safety regulations. The bonnet needs a separate latch in case it flies open whilst in motion and blocks the view of the driver.
@@kglove01 like a powered trunk but in the front
@@thtupid I dont see why that means it cannot be powered by a motor ? Only difference is that you would be able to close it without pushing on the bonnet.
@@tafl-9198 but that's the thing tho. To my understanding the manual latch is the safety thing. I don't see the point of manually unlatching only to have a motor raise the bonnet for you. It's much quicker to do it yourself. And lighter.
USA Auto manufacturers are done for.
Nah, these Chinese EVs blow up.
