Huh, I didn't know I wanted a lightsaber in a dragon dagger but here I am, wishing I picked up that silly thing.
The lightning collection dagger looks pretty great too! But really I'm gonna have to see it in hand, since the Legacy dagger is pretty perfect and I do have that....
Though actually the Lightning one might be better for cosplay, frick, I think I just talked myself into it.

It was trying to do something different rather than just rerelease a bunch of 27 year old toys that the collector's market has plenty of.

Its sad they didnt released a 2010 Dragon Zord version. I hope you can do a Dragon Dagger comparison with all the versions when the Hasbro one comes out.
Bandai actually spoke about that, saying they had planned on an electronic one that could walk, fire missiles, and roar. They were working out the kinks of doing that AND have it combine with the ZordBuilder Dino Megazord. They ended up scrapping it but most of the ideas went into the Imaginext Dragonzord instead.

I always thought this Dagger was the "Royalty-Free" version to distinguish it from 93, Legacy, and Lightning Collection, but part of me kind of thought you got in a cameo of Pimp Master Broda when I saw the Yoda puppet.

Boy, I guess it's a good thing I never purchased the MMPR 2010 Dragon Dagger cause otherwise, I'd probably ended up with a big mustached, googly-eyed "Drunken Zurd", huh? XD But, regardless, as I've said before on the DAO video, it is pretty cool that you can actually blow into the 2010 Dragon Dagger! I just don't get the weird lightsaber gimmick thingy (or like 90% of the MMPR 2010 toyline... It was such a missed opportunity to release things that weren't released in the original toyline like monster figures, Tommy's Morpher, Ninjetti Coins, etc. But, hey, at least those finally happened. But I digress). lol But it's actually a pretty decent weapon for display, and it's really cool that Hasbro's also making their own Dragon Dagger too which also looks morphenomenal like the Legacy Dragon Dagger! :D I can't WAIT till it comes out! HAPPY LATE MOTHER'S DAY!!!
Legit, though, the original Hasbro Basic lightsabers back in the day showed that you were hardcore ready to prequel-style duel. It got pretty intense whenever you hit the other kid in the face by accident and they started wildly swinging for revenge. I've gotta imagine that adding a Dragon Dagger into the mix would be sick.

To this day i still find it a bit weird to have a saber feature like that on the dagger, but hey it has to stand out somehow.
Kinda reminds me of the Laser Lance from VR Troopers, with that 'dual blade' mode.

Wanted either one of these or the original for my 4 year old but the sell prices are ridiculous. Hes always trying to play with my legacy one but it's not really age appropriate. Might get him the Hasbro one, might be better for him. Plus I can steal the stand for my legacy one

i found a 2010 dragon dagger last year or so at my local value village, but the electronics were fried....
Now I need a knock off megazord to combine with knock off dragon zord. And funky titanus for a funky knockoff ultrazord.
Although the flute sounds ar different I actually kinda like them better than the originals
