Infiltrator profile, Operative training selected at char creation unlocks the cloak right away, Ishaaray with a Vintage Heat Sink so ammo isn't a concern and reload is faster, Assault turret spec'd for flamethrower and Remnant VI spec'd as a missile turret. I call this the Legion Prime build, as your turret and drone provide ample distraction and suppressing fire for you to cloak, outflank and kill anything your turret/drone doesn't automatically kill. Anything still gets in close, I use the Asari sword on it.
Imo, Bio Converter better. Vhs too long cd. Besides, using remVi and Turret is no fun.. What's the point if you aren't killing the enemies by yourself. Try using backlash + Cloak + random power/skill .. it's quite fun. (I used to add the 50% cd reduction fusion mod, the fusion penalty reduction Cryo pod is must though)
Ps: if you wanna play pure combat + tech build.. create your character as biotic. That way, you don't need to spend 9 skill points to unlock Barrier (and singularity) !
This build would be a lot stronger if you used the maverick armour and used the infiltrator profile as your sniper would hit like a truck if you go for headshots
The infiltrator profile gives 30% head shot damage instead of just 18% weapon damage and 40 something % tech recharge speed so you can use tactical cloak more often
Problem is, headshots aren't always possible. Sure, it's the balancing factor, it's massive damage that takes a lot of setup and skill to pull off, but considering how chaotic the battle becomes, with enemies behaving weirdly and with movements hard to predict, having a build strictly focused on precision strikes ultimately just makes things slower.
After playing over 200 hours, I'm not focusing on headshot/weakpoint damage anymore. It's simply too unreliable. Also, I strongly agree with the maverick chest piece. I somehow forgot about that.
That depends on your build. Should you go with staggering powers like Overload and Energy Drain (which both make a lot of sense as they are tech > team support, and also remove shields, which is always nice), headshots become very easy to hit on humanoids all of a sudden. The assault turret with Cryo ammo is also good, tho I preffer Overload and Energy Drain.
Also, if you didn't already know, I did some testing and power damage actually does improve the gun damage bonus with tactical cloak and turbocharge. I went from 2.1k damage with my sniper when tact cloak and turbocharge is on to 3.1k
The maverick chest piece has the highest weapons damage bonus in the game but you have to find it as it cant be crafted by buying the skematic with research points. But i basically use this build but with that chest piece instead and its great with shotguns too if enemies run up on you.
love'n my sniper build right now with Cloak, Invasion (single target/boss debuffing) and Remnant VI (to keep some pressure off + stun). I use tactical revive talent in team support tree for stressful situations to get Cora and Drack up for their life support buffs.
That's a pretty good build. Functionally it's very effective, since it boosts raw weapon damage as opposed to requiring you to ALWAYS land a headshot or weak-point shot (which usually just makes the game slower and kinda frustrating). However... the roleplayer in me is kinda opposed to dabbling into a certain discipline just for one specific bonus. I get that the passives from the tech and biotic trees are fantastic and maybe even mandatory on Insanity difficulty, but in my head it feels like you're getting a degree in Engineering just to make your gun a little stronger, or to get an oddly-explained healing factor. I feel like a SOLDIER Sniper could benefit greatly from jumping into the deep end of Combat and grabbing more offensive combat attacks, like grenades or proximity mines, thus granting you some good AoE damage when things get messy, and to bombard Fiends and such, since they will not exactly let you sit comfortably in your portable cover. Closing thoughts... I mostly like this build on a conceptual level, but ultimately I cannot truly enjoy it. Mostly because I suck at aiming with a controller instead of a mouse... (Gonna stick with your OP Biotic build instead! ^^)
I honestly feel this is like a "future-soldier" type of build. You have multiple tools that provide both offense and defense. Tactical cloak is the highest +damage skill in the entire game. Just from that skill alone you get +90% weapon damage. Then another 30% from tech passives. Simply running tactical cloak and nothing else more than doubles your damage. But this build might not be for everybody. personally I think it's a bit too passive, but I made it because people really wanted a high dmg sniper build.
I actually use pull and throw on insanity.i blink to safety then I cloak and snipe the sheild away pull them and throw them away preferably at someone else then start over again keeps it where you know where everyone is I don't really need it for damage. both my companions have ammo that primes so allot of times I get a surprise detonation when I throw I keep wanting to try annihilation field but don't want to lose cloak.
Im new in andromeda and I dont know about augmentations. So how do you make sniper rifle shoot without reloading, and how did you came to 3000 dmg on sniper. Should I just pick the skills point you used, or is the trick in augmentations?
good vid and good game i just uploaded a vid that shows how to get the Black Widow sniper rifle on new game before starting Eos mission that is extremely early well this may also add help to the intent of this vid for new players
Outside of it's appeal from previous M.E games, is there any reason to pick it over Isharay? It has way lower damage, lower rate of fire, lower accuracy. The only thing better is the clip size which can be made infinite anyway.
Wut? Isharay has a faster attack speed than Black Widow so you can squeezer more bullets within the 3 sec timeframe with the Isharay than with the BW, and those shots will have higher damage too. There's absolutely no reason to ever use BW over Isharay since Isharay is superior in every way that matters unless you're not using bio-converter. But if you're not using Bio-converter, you're doing it wrong.
1. Maverick Chest for sure. In fact, KhrazeGaming admits in one of his earlier comment replies that he should've gone with this armor. 2. Isharay > Black Widow due to Bio-Converter. 3. KhrazeGaming explains the benefit of Turbocharge at 1:37 in this video. Although he's not using this power for what it's really intended for, it does increase sniper damage significantly. I tend to agree with him that this is a valuable power to have, especially if you have the extra skill points to invest.
i think every builds need to test in Flop house quest or Kett power facility :)), but how about ultimate gay gun build with inferno sr with bio converter and receiver, infiltrator with cloak, energy drain, incinerate i'm running with that lvl 101 NG+ insanity now and the game is still easy :))
reliability of headshot/weak points, particularly in longer or more stressful fights is too low to try to capitalize on. Super elite fiends have a weak point that you can literally only hit from directly above them, for instance, and head shot damage doesn't apply to shielded enemies. In insanity your most dangerous opponents are Anointed, Saboteurs and Nulifiers, all of which have shields (or energy drain), and, excepting Anointed, have very challenging weak point boxes. Couple that with enemies that have preposterous, or outright denied weak points (nulifier, ascendant, fiend, berserker, destroyer, destined....) then you're literally banking on getting lucky. Weapon damage is reliably applied and will net you higher rewards over the course of a play through many times over. Sure... you have the unicorn 12K single hit, one shot anything there is, but that's limited to the basic enemies that you don't need to hit that hard, or a literal one-in-a-million shot that you land before the fighting really starts. On top of that, the sniper rifle offerings that matter (Isharay, Black Widow, Inferno, Vanquisher) are already accurate enough that sacrificing ~15% accuracy for added damage and clip size isn't even a tiny problem, since you're generally going for reliable body shots.
I really dig this build! Straight to one of my profiles, it goes ^^ Just wondering: With such a powerful, weapon based build, focused on long range, why not picking something like the Dhan as your secondary? It's weight won't be a problem and, coupled with Cloak and turbocharge, there's nothing like it for Close Quarters (where, technically, this build becomes much less useful with a sniper rifle). Cheers and kudos ^^
The reason I'm not going with Dhan this time around is because I just got sick of it. It's still optimal (that or Piranha), but I used it so much it feels like a cliche now. I really wanted to separate this build from the others.
How come whoever makes these OP builds(I've watched few people) they are lvl 45-60... I assume all of you finished game when you're reviewing this... I finished with lvl 65

Love your builds! I'm currently building your Vanguard, and then will be having a crack at this :)

hey man, can u tell what augmentationu were using on this build? coz somehow u forgot
Definitely a great build, I'm using it right now and loving it.
Nice build keep up the good work:)
actually I learned a lot thank you good video
Could you tell me how you made your sniper to shoot constantly? (no reload time, no bullet shortage)
Bio-converter.
Thank you. I think thats important bit that video is missing because I was wondering while watching - why so much regen when focus is sniper dmg :)

The chest can be crafted, others can't
advanced black widow FTW
I can't believe trolls were whining about how you weren't playing on Insanity when it was obvious that you were. Keep up the good work man!

take a shot every time you say "it's very good" or "quite simple" haha
I'd probably end up in a coma.
probably in 30 minutes

Huge fan of your work here.
Will there be a patch 1.06 build update video for this? If so when should we expect it.

Wouldn't the debuff from invasion be better than the barricade?
The Valiant with burst fire augment hits like a truck
I was just here to see your augmentation choices. but you said augmentation and showed mods..
i use the inferno sniper R and its ok but my maine weapon is the piranha shotgun and i never looked back and yes it has an awsome build on YT
Bio coil isharay + Cora + tech or hybrid tech, period !
Have you got a video on how to make the male ryder look like yours?
+Chris Purdie yes. I will make a video on how to make beautiful characters for andromeda, including my character.
fight a remnant architect. this is easy peasy.
good vid and good game
i just uploaded a vid that shows how to get the Black Widow sniper rifle on new game before starting Eos mission
that is extremely early
well this may also add help to the intent of this vid for new players
You a beast bruh.
why kett armor over eleus?
People on youtube play with gamepad mostly, that's why they are shooting point blank distance with isharay.
gamepad in mass effect andromeda for degenerats
Black Widow. ok next discussion.

Of course there is, in With Isharay, you can only shoot once under cloaking, with Black widow, you can squeeze in 3 devastating shots.

Inferno / game renamed Karasawa for keks.
How about against the progenitor
Should be using Maverick Chest for weapon damage. That sniper rifle is also inferior to BW due to 1 shot. Turbocharge is terrible for sniper.
1. Maverick Chest for sure. In fact, KhrazeGaming admits in one of his earlier comment replies that he should've gone with this armor.

acetraker1988 turbocharge with the raptor

with a sniper wouldn't acuracy and stability trump damage, i mean 9/10 times you're going to be going for headshots right.......
In my opinion Isharay already has high accuracy and stability. Damage bonus is always king.
reliability of headshot/weak points, particularly in longer or more stressful fights is too low to try to capitalize on.
