- Here it is! The estate sale that has been all over the internet and was quite possibly the biggest collection of kitsch I'll ever see in my life. Gabrielle Lish and I (aka Gabby, aka Gabbylicious) decided to hit this one hard core to get there right as the address dropped in the middle of the night. She picked me up from my house (after driving there from VENTURA) at 3am so we could get to Ontario by 4. #3amCrew
We waited in line until the doors opened at 8am and saw no less than half a dozen other Instagramers and TH-camrs in the line all frothing along with us over this insane collection.
This video is pretty raw. I literally held the phone in my hand while I dug around, bumped into people, held a box of breakables, and went at the stuff elbows up. So filming was a bit of an afterthought this time, I'll admit. BUT, I was able to take you along with me (which no one else was doing, so you're welcome.) You've been warned. So like they say at Disneyland, hang on to them hats and glasses, 'cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!

Wow! Lots of things. Did you pick up any bargains? Some prices seemed unsuited to the reseller…..bit spendy!
Oh yes, there were a lot of great deals. Jewelry was dirt cheap and those crisp unused vintage tea towels were a bargain. The big ticket items were definitely collectors’ prices on the first day but by the final day everything was 50%-75% off. 🤩
I would be souring all the thrift stores in the area after they were done looking for those donated items

Priced for collectors - prices are too astronomical for resellers
Some stuff, but I found lots of great deals for reselling. Especially in the linens and jewelry (jewelry will be in the next video).
I was thinking the pricing was high, as well.
Also I’ll add that this was day 1 of a 4 day sale. By the final day everything was 50%-75% off.

It was a 4 day sale and this was day 1. Typical estate sales around here the first day will be collectors’ prices but then they discount in the following days. This one was 50%-75% off on the last day and it had awesome stuff still there for soo cheap (yes, I went back a second time LOL)
Oh lawd, I would have gone broke there. Everything I love in one spot.

I have that pink sewing basket. The lid has flowers on top and, I found it at an Estate Sale in Grosse Pointe Shores, MI near the Ford Estate.
P.S. I so thoroughly commend you and thank you for videoing this adventure for us. As I heard one of the Estate Reps say, it was a small house and for you to move around with boxes and a camera and focus…well, you are truly one of the good ones. Thanks again. 💖

WOW the stuff in that house. You would have to spend the whole day there. Did they have a room with glassware items?
There is no room for someone to actually LIVE there !! Even the furniture had to stay outside !!
I can't quit laughing!!! I slowed the playback speed to 0.5x so I could see all the s&p shakers as I grew up seeing a massive collection that went back to the 1910s. But you all sound totally wasted at that speed. It's hysterical!!!

We heard that they did have an antique booth but alllll this stuff was packed away in their garage, in boxes to the ceiling. So they had a booth but it’s like this stuff never made it there and became their own collection/hoard.

I'd also like to say Good On Ya Jamie~your camera & editing work, most of all, your innate awareness of the viewers' interest & our need for inclusion is stunningly award worthy!
We couldn't go. I can't go~health & wheel chair forbid my ability to partake in my life long joy of hands on thrifting. But the TH-cam Vintage Community has given my heart a home as well as family of choice & I have begun to fill my home, once again with delicious delirium. And~ oh, Jamie?

Were all of the mermaids on the wall and Christmas figurines gone by the time you got in?
Just about! Stephanie was able to get a bunch, she was about 5 people ahead of me. In that amount of time, the mermaids were gone. Some Christmas was left, you’ll see some of that in the next video.
