I honestly quite like the Church, I find the mythology quite fascinating as well as the implications and interactions it has with other entities and concepts. I remember reading 1548 just as the rewrite released and then that paper man thing which was also part of it and being super interested, so yeah this whole thing is pretty cool

Hey my man. I think I have Pavlov'd myself, but I just want to thank you for all your scp videos, listening to your videos of scp explanations helps me sleep at night. I've had so many traumatic experiences the past 12 months and I have a horrible time trying to sleep. I cannot sleep without listening to your voice (weird, I know). When I sleep without some audio in my earpiece I have nightmares. When I attempt to sleep with any other audio I have insomnia.
Wish I could thank you for helping a grown man catch some sleep.
The more SCP expands, the more it becomes a comic book world. Like DC, or Marvel. I'd say it's more like Image though. :)

@@IchbinX I don't really have so much as a problem with reality benders in principle. I just don't like when the feeling of realism that made the lore so subversive is eschewed and replaced with a cliché superhero/comic/manga/anime bent that, at times, becomes ridiculously unbelievable.
The reaction would be to have tales and lores that are less cliché and much, much heavier in terms of lore complexity and technicality. I like when skips are actually "believable" to read. The more technical the skip report, the better.
I'd like tales that explore the Foundation bureaucracy in depth. Sounds boring, but most Foundation personnel probably have very boring lives. Especially if they don't even have any knowledge about the contained items. What are these people even told they are containing? Extremely hazardous material? Extremely dangerous or unstable CBRN agents? How does the Foundation maintain communication channels with major world governments, NATO, the UN, the GOC and other GoIs with similar objectives? How do they maintain the Veil so effectively with the Internet in the picture, with Wikileaks and the high potential for leaks? How do they even maintain such an obviously gargantuan bureaucracy and with what funding? How is the Foundation reacting to global warming, knowing that economic depressions, energy crises, migrant crises and food shortages are inevitable. The Foundation has to depend on some kind of power grid and communication network. We know nothing about what should be essential information. How is the Foundation planning to deal with inevitable amnestic shortages? Or fossil fuel shortages? How does any of this work?

I think (as much as I like Marvel) that SCP has already gone far above that. What I mean by this is that while marvel and dc have expansive universes with mass amounts of characters that all interact with each other, there is really only so far outside the realm of superhero story that they can stray (again, not to discredit them at all, I love Marvel!). But scp is a totally blank slate which allows for so much creativity that the site has birthed entire concepts. We have everything ranging from just a lizard that can’t be killed to eldritch pantheons, stories about just one object to stories about multiple globe-spanning or even universe-spanning organisations. SCP has reached far, far further already in a creative sense than the Marvel or DC format could ever allowed. It will only keep growing and birthing new unique ideas, especially when you consider the fact that literally any mind on earth with an internet connection can contribute.
And, btw, there are still hundreds of articles that keep the simpler spirit of the old classics, you just won’t see them featured on channels like this often because it takes a lot more to impress most people now

Hmm. Is it possible that the Spear of the Non-Believer, as mentioned in previous videos (most prominently the Ourboros Cycle) is one of the spears of Rakmou-Leusan? @@MyMarsham Absolutely disagree on the Haunted House here. Alien is one of the very few properly lovecraftian horror films. No exorcist can save you, no praying can protect you, and no firepower can stop the ever present threat. Human's on the bottom of that food chain the whole way through.
I have beef with Aliens for throwing that all away and paving the way for the garbage that followed. I absolutely AGREE to not discuss said garbage again, though. :P

Have you thought about doing a video exploring D-Class? I know that might sound like a shallow topic but quite a few SCPs and tales explore their origins and character. The wiki even had a contest exploring them in 2016.
SCP-2419 handles how the Foundation dehumanizes them and the consequences of doing so. 2439 is an SCP known only to D-Class, which they keep secret from the Foundation to protect them and the world. 5131 is about a D-class ghost coming back to haunt the Foundation. 1851-EX is about how a racist precursor organization to the Foundation forced runaway slaves to be D-class. The tale History is comprised of a series of messages written on the walls by D-Class at Site 19. There’s an Orientation tale as well.
I think there’s some potential there for the topic.

Hmm wait couldn’t this problem just be solved by just throwing d-class at it, because you could get d class to willingly give blood and they could just repeat the same process of the 7 to asend to god hood (this would either be preformed on foundation personal who are willing to go or to d-class who are good and willing to go, because we don’t want a ramping god messing things up) giving the 4th more gods to work with. And this would also benefit the foundation because it increases their knowledge about everything, and saving humanity/the universe and all
Contrary to popular belief...D-class are not an infinite resource. Furthermore... there's also the chance that this religion isn't all that it appears to be.
