Keel is on the same level as Gembond for me. Both are really quite unpleasant, and there is only ONE dragon I have that has Gembond that actually looks nice and that is a miracle in itself. As for Glowtail, I tend to find it difficult to match. It looks nice with the new changes, but otherwise I tend to avoid it.
God I miss when they only locked threads when theres harassment and not just ONE person giving valid constructive criticism like with the auraboa debacle.
Personally feel the whole discussion surrounding the new ancient is a bit silly but locking the thread within half an hour of it being created is WILD. 🥲
Personally I saw users calling the artists lazy and that the art was pretty trash on the glowtail thread before it was cleaned, and generally just being jerks. Not really harassment, but there was a lot of rude just their art is shit etc with a lack of constructive feedback.
My main issue with staff pruning the thread is now I can't go back and see for myself if there were really some users telling them to KYS because of their laziness. It could have been "Go commit toaster bath, you're worthless" (which is bad and just plain harassment) or it could have been "Hey, I don't really like what you're doing. Can you make something else?" (which is just stating an opinion and is okay). You can really only take their word for it, so it depends how much trust you are willing to give the staff.
Ngl most genes get negative remarks at first. There was a massive crap storm over stained, people hated crackle and gembound in the old days, ect. Most times they forgot and let it go over time, other times it got altered to fix (such as saturn and jupiter) Its just that now we're open to new members 24/7 so now theres much, much more notable negative remarks
I feel like spirals are the only ones who look adorable with glow tail, especially with good opposite colors. I don't even really like the gene but I have one spiral that pulls it off really well. Oh well :)
i have glow tail and personally i like it :) still im kinda new (acount is 1 month and 20 days) so im just now geting used to forums and i didnt know this was going on

Yeah I saw that too. Idont care for either genes, but that resonce wasnt warranted, and i can understand thedevs locking it after that.

I think keel, if the color combination is right, looks pretty cool, same with glowtail.
I like glowtail alot actually and tbh I don't really care how a gene looks. If I don't like it, I won't have it on a dragon.
I personally not a big fan of keel but i think glowtail is cool on some dragon
My friend has one of their progens with the color combo Caribbean/sunshine/sunshine and glow tail looks amazing on him
