in some *cough cough* really good *cough cough* mangas aimed at women from the yaoi genera they made up a sub genera what called omegaverse. Their are Alphas who are considered superior at everything, betas who are the common people (80% or something like that) and omegas who all have uteruses. Omegas are either considered second class citizens with many social challenges or are revered similar to alphas but mainly meant to be their wives. On top of this Omegas/ Alphas have "heats" like animals do and release pheromones which causes most of the problems. They only way to stop pheromones (mostly from the omega so they do not become a r*pe target) is by taking medication or having an alpha mark them (bite the back of their neck). Once an omega is marked their pheromones will only work on the alpha that marked them and sex is not really possible with others (meaning the omega cannot leave the relationship but the Alpha can at any time). And just because you may be thinking this, yes female alphas are able to impregnate any omegas but don't ask me how since people mostly read them for yaoi. As odd as it sounds it creates a more rich man fell in love with an oppressed woman type dynamic for most of them with adding the social issues for drama and is XXX rated. Sorry if that was long, I know it is wired but some stories in the small sub genera are written well, trust me.
