And I blame the late 80s - 1993 shenanigans of politicians splashing huge amounts of money, therefore big corruption scandals (Goldenberg etc), which altogether reduced confidence in our economy and ruined it, almost irreparably.. European countries like Germany are ultra-wealthy, yet their politicians lead ordinary lives.
