My wife and I have been showing this video to our 3 year old a few times each week for the last few months. We are due to move up and it's helped make the whole affair a big adventure for him. Thank you load from my little boy.
And 5 years later, we own a house the wife had local jobs and we have never looked back. Robbie and jessica, when you're old enough.... This is the video that got us to move to lossiemouth 😊
My parents were stationed at RAF Lossiemouth, that is where they met. Have never managed to visit. Now I have seen your video will have to come 👍👍👍👍😊😊😊
A great way to attract the tourists to my home town. Thoroughly enjoyed a trip round the harbour and along the beaches. There isn't better scenery anywhere.
The lovely lady singing at about 5:40 in is a dear friend of mine. I still have the rough cut recording of this track on my iPod that she gave me years ago before anyone heard it. Beautiful job Sam May! Loves, hugs, and kisses. :)
I love Lossiemouth..... I first went to lossie in 1990, I fell in love, it went to my heart...... my husband and I went for years until he died...., I have not been for years, but there is not a day or so that I don't think of Lossiemouth......I just need to hear the word lossie and I feel home sick..... I listen to most people say "oh if I won the lottery the first thing I do is move to the sun"... NO not me I would move to Lossiemouth everyday of the week...., I dare anyone to go to Lossiemouth and NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH IT and the people there are so lovely, and yes I can truly say they are and its not because your spending money, they are genuine lovely kind people......, as I said I went for year's and every year yes there was some changes but where hasn't, i can tell you the people have not some even remember you...now where else would you find that, try going and you will come away and make your next visit....... I can't say enough about it and the people,
I hope to see this next time there. I did see Inverness and the nearby - but didn't see much of Aberdeenshire. Ullapool was great. So I would expect Lossiemouth about the same, just larger.
Lovely Video, nice camera movement. I lived in lossie as a child, such a wonderful place, I cant wait to go back there on holiday with the wife, baby and dog.
Not me though because I am a regular at the folk club and they love me at the folk fest (even the posh lot are good with me). And the second song in the vid, that's me singing (and the other song I'm singing is Indapure aka In Despair, which is a Bill Monroe song but I kinda made my own)
brock kerbyHello from Canada, Currently working on a amiture small doucumentary, would it be possible to utilize a small clipping from this video please. My great uncle learned to fly the Wellington in England and loussiemouth was one of his first training stations overseas in ww2. Hope to hear back. Thanks . Plus you will get credited for utilizing the small clip of your video . Thx1 minute ago•
What disappoints me about these kinds of videos - pushing the notion of such beauty and peace and comfort -- - Which, I must say, I have not the slightest doubt about Lossiemouth being just that -- - but had they spent a minute or two of this 11 minute video showing how the worse of days can be as friendly as the sunny and pleasant ones are... I'd enjoy the truth, is all I'm saying. Gale Winds and friends gathered at the pub would be what I'd like to see for once.
Wee girl on the swing....English / B&B owner....English / bloke enjoying a dram....English / bloke walking with dog......English / bloke surfing.........sounds as if he could be English..................bloke speaking whilst walking to the pub.......English / and guess what bloke at the end is the same one walking his dog.........................ENGLISH! Are there no Scottish people living in Lossiemouth anymore ?!
