  • Welcome to another video in Wa's South West
I had great weather today so I took a long walk on a long Jetty.
The Busselton Jetty is the longest wooden pyloned Jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.
Badly damaged by fire in 1999,it has been restored, and even has little train.
It is a great destination and great for some exercise.
Onto Cape Naturaliste National Park, looking for whales, yes they were there,it is one of the few places that you can see them so close to the coast.
A good place to own a camera with a zoom lens I think.
Yallingup is close by also ,a nice seaside community facing the ocean, another worthwhile detour.
Well hope you enjoy this one,see you next time.
    Take care Bill.

Wonderful filming that gave us a wide range of views of this beautiful mystical coastal area that seems like a world in itself. Enjoyed it!

Hi Kris thanks, the couple of videos will show more of the surf beaches, however I filmed so much on the drone 60gb worth,I have to split it up in 2 videos, so you'll get to see why the surfers go there.Until then take care Bill.

I was born in sight of the jetty at the old Busso Hospital. Back in the day there would be up to five steamers loading timber, and steam trains hauling wagons loaded with timber heading out the ''Skelly Jetty'' to the ships. Almost all Busseltons male workforce worked loading timber onto the ships. Saw the name Bovell on the jetty, they were shipping agents. Stuart Bovell was also the local MP.

The white lilies are considered a noxious weed in this region and the shire is trying to eliminate them by spraying them with a noxious poison ☠ Great drone footage Bill - well done!

I remember back in the late 40s Dad grubbing out Arum Lillies on our farm and announcing triumphantly ''He had got rid of the buggers'' only to find masses regrowing with the next rain.

Hi Chris, thanks the ads are something I don't see because I pay premium, so I wonder if people are getting many ads.

Galvanised steel wheely bins. Obviously for the salt water corrosion but why not use plastic ? Answer : To stop them being burned by hooligans.

Exercise, fresh air, sunshine and plenty of fatty red meat. and good sleep. That's what you need to get healthy and lose weight.@@intooz4692
