The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) has developed ANSI/ISEA 138 to expand performance levels for impact-resistant gloves, establishing three classifications based on measurement across the knuckles and fingers.
To be compliant, gloves must be tested in an independent ISO certified lab and display the rating icon, allowing customers to compare glove performance using a standardized measure.
