  • A film (circa 1966 - maybe -) documenting the origin of Brian Head Resort. Georg Hartlmaier (1932-2008) was the original face of Brian Head, Utah. He came to America to help start the small resort by cutting runs through the trees, construct the first chairlift, and head the new ski school as director. Georg and his wife Stephanie were the original pioneers of Brian Head. In "The Brian Head Experience" we see the early days of Brian Head Resort, such as the original 2-seater Chair 1.

Wow. I've never seen this video. My uncle built Brian Head. I grew up there. Burt Nichols encouraged Georg Hartlmaier to immigrate to help Brian Head have a resident professional skier. Burt Nichols is still alive at 90 though he left the area in the eighties. THANKS for posting.
