Northeast regional goes as south as Virginia Beach, Newport News, Roanoke, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Richmond. It basically includes most of Virginia. Then the actual northeast routes north through DC to philly to new england.
@@DMVAdventures Not to be pedantic, but DC is actually Mid Atlantic, maybe even Southern , in a sense that it's below the Mason Dixon. And Richmond sure as hell isn't the NE. Not Mid Atlantic either. I guess it brings in more revenue that way, idk.
It is Fun, I feel like having burgers and beers instead of sitting in traffic, no problems parking downtown, some people don't have cars, lots of reasons.
It is actually faster to get from DC to New York than it is to go south to Richmond. The Train in Virginia is SLOW and not super fun. Because the only tracks the government (Amtrak) cares about is DC to Bmore to Philly to Boston. I actually never do any Virginia Train trips because of how bad it is.
The free water and soda is available in the cafe car - you show your ticket.
DANG! I had a feeling that may have been the case. The cafe car was so full that I didn't even try it. Oh well. Thanks for the info!
Hope you share your adventures in Richmond!
It actually came out in the wrong order. Richmond episode is out now. th-cam.com/video/lmEL4UHNMko/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VKGAk0q2YIZ0WctQ
@ Thanks!
Do Virginia hot springs. Lots of cool stuff to do there even stuff like falconry.
Been on my list for 20 years. The $400/night been holding me back. Guess I don’t have to stay at the Omni
How about YOU DO it
try out the new Newport News station with the through-bus to Virginia Beach
I def want to do that. Was thinking of doing it in the summer because of the beach. Gonna look into that.
Richmond is NE?

@@DMVAdventures The way things are going South Carolina will part of the Yankee Northeast soon.
Why? It's a quick and easy drive

3 Hrs to get to Richmond? So Amtrak takes you to NJ faster from dc. 😂
