thank you always helpful. one thing I have problems with is extruding inward on weird angles like a circular, or hex shape. when I change my pivot alignment to local gimbal etc to try and do it it never seems to align to the poly face of the object I want to extrude inwards. is there a trick to get that to align properly so my extrude works the way it should? for example I have an octagon shape wall and I choose a poly and inset it then want to extrude inward to make a recess for a set back door way or window. the pivot always at weird angle so it wont go back at the angle of the poly
