Great review. I've had some sorry cappuccinos in my life. A great cappuccino is a real art. Not everyone can pull it off. Mugs Coffee really breathed some COOL into that structure. Last time I saw it was a little forlorn. Now it is very retro/vintage. Maybe the Whittier Conservancy should evaluate it. My hats off to the designer who salvaged it. For that reason alone, I'm going to swing by for an espresso and blueberry muffin alfresco to check it out. Mugs should do really well if they consistantly have great beans, service and 1st class pastries. Happy New Year! Congratulations on being the Grand Marshall of the Whittier Christmas Parade. You really deserve the honor.
I thought the previous tenant, Bodega, did a great design on it. Very cool what they did with the tiles on the counter. Too bad it didn’t last - hope Mugs is successful in that spot.
5th to 8th business at that site since i was a kid!... which at same site is whittier og pizza joint stuff pizza . wow do i miss stuffed pizza. now the other was the el 7 mares at this location of mugs coffee.
Enjoy your vlogs. Lived in Whittier most of my life and spent many of Friday nights cruising the boulevard back in the days. Very different then. Have you ever done a review of the Panderias in the area?
Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it. Yes things have changed very much Erin Whittier, but I still love it. I haven’t covered Panadería’s in Whittier. That would be a good one. Thanks again I hope you subscribed.
Honestly enjoyed? I had just had my coffee when I came across them but would like to go back and try el café de olla. Don't know why that spot hasn't done well in the past, loved it since it was a marisco place. I hope you do @liftcoffeeroasters in your series, hands down one of the best cappuccinos around in my opinion.
I think the spot will do really well. I think it lens itself to coffee and the drive-through format menu. Remember what it was the Mariscos place? That goes way back. Thank you for the feedback. I always appreciate your opinion. You will have to join me when I hit lift.
muffin looked good. That little spot hs been so many places but this MUGS looks like it will do well in that location... off the freeway as well.
Saw they were opening; loved the coffee at their Boyle Heights location, so I gotta drop by

@@hyphenlife Darn it. I never paid any attention to Bodega.
I so want to go there and grab a Cappuccino! Love the coffee series!
I believe that used to be Chicken Bodega. I’ll have to try the coffee there.
Yes it was. Among other things
Well for a coffee place to open at 9am is not good business for the early birds
Maybe when they get rolling they will change the hours.
That shows...they don’t know there people.....they should open at 4:30am
I'm a complete coffee hound so i really appreciate you filming these!
Hey, is ricks in and out. Still there.....they have great pastrami.....
