The record is 21 3's by Loyola Marymount against Michigan in 1990 in a 149-115 win. I remember that game. It was after Hank Gathers of Loyola collapsed on the court and died earlier that month. Villanova had 17 3's against Alabama in the second round of the tournament in 2018 on their way to the national championship.

@@Don-md6wn Bama played LMU that year too in the round of 16. We refused to run with them and slowed them way down. The final was like 62-60 or something like that. It was LMU's lowest scoring game of the year. Bama succeeded in their game plan but came up 2 pts short. Unfortunately I remember the Nova game too lol.
