- The Dolphins started this 2021 season 1-7 but finished the year winning 8 of 9 including 7 in a row and finished the season with a winning record of 9-8. Rookies Jaylen Waddle, Jaelan Phillips, and Jevon Holland had outstanding first seasons and Xavien Howard continued to be one of the best CB's in the NFL. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missed part of the season with injuries but played well during the winning streak and gave himself a chance to be the starter at the position going forward.

We should have kept Duke Johnson tbh he was so good at the end of the season for us he was doing so good
If they wouldn't have stopped feeding him the rock in the Tennessee game, they'd have won that game made the playoffs. He damn near had 50 yard 4 minutes into the second quarter.

Lots of good things from this, ya know, it is highlights afterall.
But two things:
1. Parker will be missed with those back-shoulder sideline catches.
2. I really wish we kept/resigned Duke Johnson. The guy was an absolute monster in the second half of the season for us.

I believe in Tua . I don't care if he can't throw it deep. He can move it around .He can make first downs . He's not a liability in the RedZone (RT 17) He understands the system .and he's not going to embarrass you like Ryan leaf or Deshaun Watson . He's going to give you the best game he has. By God that should be enough to win Tampa won a Superbowl with Brad Johnson. And Baltimore won with Trent Dilfer . So it can be done . He wasn't responsible for the defense giving up 28 points or more in 7 games . We had a guy who could throw the ball deep for seven years and he went to the playoffs once . And we regularly went three and out . Bad coaching was the reason .And it's always the reason you can't win . There's a lot of new Miami fans I figure because they don't know how many 3rd and two's Marino threw And they don't remember Chad Pennington Be a fan enjoy the games don't let the media ruin your fun God bless
I think Tua will show us this year what he's about. This will be his third year after potential career ending injury. I don't think his hip was fully healed until now. I saw him throw a ball 70 yards few weeks ago. Tua excells at RPO we had no running game last year. Mcdaniel I believe will provide that for him and bam we finally have Alabama Tua. I'm super stoked for 2022/2023
The Raiders and Jags game we definitely should have won. Roller-coaster season though

Tua had a ton of great throws. Just watched his hype video from bama. You see him making a lot of the same deep accurate throws everyone was drooling over and bragging him up about. Now everyone is out to try and ruin this poor kid. Hopefully we get a head coach that actually believes in him. He’s shown a lot of good stuff tannehill never showed in 7 years. Tua with a great line and great run game….. could turn all the talking heads into clowns. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🐬🐬🐬. Would bring me no greater joy than seeing a few of these talking heads lose their jobs over it lol. But we all know that’s not how things work. Oh well here’s to hoping we can put it all together. I do believe we have a talented roster. Just need a o line revamp some good bet signings re-signings and hit on 2 or 3 new star players 🤞🏻
@@someguy4046 Totally agree. The only problem with rolling out to his left is the LT isnt good. Doing it too much can hurt you when the LT sucks.

I saw a video where "experts" were talking about how Tua and Hill would fair out next season; they said "Tua's no Patrick Mahomes" = they are correct; Mahomes doesn't run over defenders, break takles, and isn't as accurate as Tua. They love pretending that Tyreek was getting constant deep balls from Mahomes = he throws the EXACT SAME PASSES as Tua, typically flat to 15 yard passes; Mahomes just has more opportunities to throw deep because of play calling and the better O-line.
I watched and see just how much we missed Parker when he played. You could see his impact. We can't have an injury prone players like him and fuller next year. Outside of the Raider game Breathe was awefull. A few losses were on his poor play. We won the Texas game in spite of him

Also like to add that Miami has developed a stigma to let wideouts go for peanuts the past 2 decades going back to Chambers.

F McDaniel retains most of the defensive coaching staff and brings in his tiedowns and running backs coach from San Fran I can see this team doing remarkably well next season we are only a few pieces away from becoming a juggernaut in the league

@@luism8130 Their coaches also did everything they could to help their QB while Flores did everything he could to not help our QB. Only thing he did was Draft Waddle but he needs protection just like EVERY QB in the NFL does.

The 2022 season starts this Sunday. Looking back at these Highlights, the team looks really good. We added Tyreek Hill, Chase Edmonds Rahim , and a few more good pieces. If we would’ve beat Colts Raiders Jaguars and Falcons last year, we would’ve won the conference. New year, no pressure on our quarterback, new coach. The sky is the limit

My guy Tua done been through the trenches. Everybody seems to forget this same qb went for an 8-1 run after the Deshaun Watson trade nonsense came to an end. He dealt with adversity from d as y one because of his draft class. And tbh.. who cares. Justin herbert won rookie of the year with big time numbers, but they lost to Tua and company so.... Judt put some respect on my QB. But I would like to see us sweep buffalo this year🙆🏿♂️💯🔥

The last time there was a phenom the likes of Tua it was Tim Tebow. ( both Christian’s and from very popular collegiate teams ) They were both hyped coming out of college and underwhelming in the pros. That being said, the subterfuge that goes on in the Dolphins organization is the only constant I’m aware of and placed Flores in a win now situation to salvage his reputation. Tua was a good kid put between a rock and a hard place. Flores was a good man put between a rock and a harder place. Dolphins are my team and that being said, a Mike McDaniels offense won’t and doesn’t need elite QB play to win so it appears things have finally turned the corner for Tua. Let’s hope Mike and Tua stay married for many years to come because if not, we’re going to be stuck with an above average QB in Tua with a massive contract he won’t be able to live up to. The sun moon and stars may have aligned for something special going forward together, but nobody except a Shannahan style of offense would fall all over themselves for Tua. His ceiling is Drew Breeze and his floor we’ve seen.

Tua's runs was actually decent and he was forced too, he also wasn't fully healed, it was non fully healed Tua, Waddle, underutilized Gesicki who lacked proper coaching, and a defensive minded HC who did everything but help Tua. Now it's fully healed Tua throwing with hip and arm(Threw a 71 yard ball in air bomb to Lynn Bowden last month, look it up) and it'll help his athleticism and running, Edmunds and Mostert, Alec Ingold, Hill, Waddle, and Cedrick the entertainer, Gesicki, Armstead and Conner Williams(3/5 of the line is figured out but it's still completely better) better coaches, Wes Welker at WR coach, and a young "mad genius" new HC who's more offensive minded and is a run specialist, not to mention our top 10 defense who'll only get better along with the offense, X, Byron Jones,Best rookie safety Holland, Brandon Jones, Ogbah, Wilkins, John Jenkins, Jerome Baker, needs another LB but also Jaelen Phillips who was one of the best if not the best rookie edge rushers.

Our defense was on another last year lol the last 2 plays had me DYING. At 26:49 he picks it so easily and breaks a tackle nonchalantly LMAO our defense was attuned to playing offense whereas their players didn't know how to make a proper tackle. Then the last play the announcer uptalks the pats to give their fans and team some hope, "we've seen some crazy finishes here before" only for the fins to get another pick 6 🤣🤣

It is going to be an interesting season. Miami just can't get any sort of stability ever, owner, gm, hc nobody works together we will see if McDaniel can at least get us to the playoffs. I don't think Flores was the whole problem.

Fitz magic played 50 years in the league behind trash olines (used to running for his life) and played maginally better than tua (young qb coming from bama oline/saban players). Love my fitzy but we seen his ceiling..tua gets a ton of hate but hes really a decent qb but ppl are only wowed by the cannon arm guys. He simply has drew brees arm talent with better mobility/pocket presense but lacks the knowledge and brain of a HOF qb. If he can develop to half the brain that brees or some of the elite pocket qb's then tua csn be a top 10 starter for a franchise.

All I’m taking away from these highlights is that our offense let us down. The defense gave us so many opportunities to win games and we just could not deliver.
The defense gave up 28 points or more 7 times last season they lost everyone of those games ? Offense let us down no that's coaching that let them down no one wins giving up that many points
@@chrisbrewer3505 We did have 4 offensive lineman that were in contention for worst at their position. Also the worst RB’s except a few games w Duke. And in all the games where Parker was injured our #2 WR was trash too. Everyone complains about Tua, and yeah he didn’t play well either. But Waddle, Gesicki, and Hunt were the only offensive starters that even had decent years.
The FO let us down by putting that offense on the field
@@abarkins Your right about that . This year we got three wideouts who are legitimate starters .Plus four backs that all have started when was the last time you could say that .... And a schedule that even in worst case scenario should be 9-3 after 12 games . They got a chance to be good this year for sure .🐬
