I wanted to thank you for "being there" for us this year in our sleepless nights and tired days. I lost my father August 19 and he was in hospital since May. You were the only reason I didn't go insane and I wanted to thank you for that. Have a blessed year with whatever you soul desires because you may not know it but you saved me. I couldn't find a story teller that could relax me before so thank you and this year.

Happy New Year friends, hope it's a good one
Last night out of nowhere I heard a yell then not even a few minutes later three fire trucks rushed down the street (I live at the end of a culdesac) and one stopped right in front of my house, I had no idea what was going on & nearly had a heart attack. Long story short, the next door neighbor's house caught on fire (still unsure of the cause) & it definitely was quite a scary night.. Luckily I live only a couple blocks from the nearest fire station so they got here as soon as possible so the fire wasn't nearly as bad as it could've been, but if things were different it could've potentially spread to my house given the distance and where the fire started. (Their garage & kitchen, where the fire was located, is closest to my house, and we could see flames out of their kitchen's window which faces my parents' master bedroom)
Thankfully it didn't come to that worst case scenario, and don't think anyone was seriously hurt, but I heard it did kill one of their dogs. What a way to end/start the year, I feel for them. At the same time though..crazy things like this happen a lot in my neighborhood, and I seriously want to move.
