    I was just driving through Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming for a lovely fall adventure when the bison - as we often see happen - decided to conduct traffic their own way. Here's what happened next....

      STOP THE SLAUGHTER! Every year bison in Yellowstone are being culled. While millions of bison reside on private land across the US they are hybrid bison. Pure gened bison number fewer than 15000 and they are being slaughtered every year. These few remaining pure gened bison are critical for the recovery of the species. Instead of slaughtering the last remaining pure gened bison they could relocate the bison to other herds in order to strengthen the gene pool of the local population. Bison once roamed America's grassland in herds by the millions before they were indiscriminately slaughtered and brought to the edge of extinction for their hides and in war against the Native Americans. The slaughter of these magnificent creatures that are apart of America's heritage and intricately woven into Americas historical landscape, is one of the greatest moral and national outrages of our time. Greedy MT ranchers that control the MT legislature are to blame. Please do your part to help save these majestic gentle creatures and restore them to their previous glory.

    What's with all the alarmist talk here? There is nothing wrong at Yellowstone. Y'all have been watching too many TH-cam videos posted by non-scientists seeking their 5 minutes of fame. If you are in fact worried about conditions at Yellowstone, you need to go to the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory site and read the facts and listen to the monthly reports by knowledgeable geologists and volcanologists. On the other hand, believe what you will. It will relieve the overcrowding at the Park and leave it to those of us who actually appreciate it for something more than another stop between Disneyland vacations.

You know how many tourists I've seen get mauled by wild animals back home? We used to go to the park just to watch The tourist interact with the animals and laugh when they get rammed. 😂😅🤣. What pisses me off is when humans start feeding these guys along with the bears and all the other wildlife and then wonder why they got eaten!,,, Because; then Park rangers have to come and put them down after they've hurt a human and the humans are the ones that caused it.

    Nice. Wow, this makes me think of how lucky we bikers were back in 2012 when several of our group had driven through Yellowstone during our adventurous trek to Sturgis. We encountered so many interesting and exciting things while driving across the U.S. In 73, I was stationed at Camp Pendleton. Me and another Sergeant hiked out to a desolate area where there was nothing but barren land. There was a single pond out there and we attempted fishing for bass. We were there a tad over 30 minutes casting and walking around the pond. Then along came a small group of buffalo (bison). I yelled over to my fellow Sergeant and he yelled back, "F-em, they ain't messin up my fishin". Moments later, several walked past me to enter the lower depths of the water I was fishing, then pissed for at least 3 minutes in the water. That changed my mind so I decided to leave the water to the buffalo.

I worked at the marina this year, I have bleach stained clothes from all the sanitizing we did with boats, life jackets, etc. I don’t think we’re at Armageddon just yet.

    Been in the middle of one of these. They are very cool especially when they go in between the cars. You are literally three feet from them. Don't make loud noises and DO NOT reach out from your car. BTW it's not a stampede.

    Well... not exactly a stampede .A very small herd by Bison standards, but it's good that the Bison is making a come back. Can you imagine when the first settlers saw herds a thousand strong? You would hear them coming long before you saw the huge cloud of dust engulfing a thousand Bison!

  • @ridesmule2824
    @ridesmule2824 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    There was a day when bison numbered in the tens of thousands and herds took several days to pass.
    Now there are hundreds of millions of humans and they never pass....they just keep coming, and coming, and coming. What's wrong with this picture?
