Visited Marriott on Feb 23rd, 2022. Beach erosion is absolutely apparent at Marriott. With low tide some beach access is available. Number of families and kids on beach playing in sand, closer to resort than beforehand.
So, so, so good to see. Been staying at the 7 mile beach club every prepandemic year since 2003.... right next to the rebranded Hampton. Hope to make it back this summer!!!
@@theevanpyle it's a cruise stop so I will definitely visit the island. It's just a matter of where. I'm into beach bars so that is what I will hunt down. Last time there I parasailed over it and it was gorgeous. Video is on my TH-cam channel.
Wow! Happily surprised to see that people are able to lounge in chairs again in front of the Marriott! We stayed there for a week in 2018 and I was sad to see your in some of your recent videos the lack of beach in front of the resort.

Excellent videos, very helpful. Would it be possible to say the time and day that you are on the beach? Would it be possible to show a different part of the beach each time with an indication of the names of all the buildings you pass?

Was hoping to visit there on my upcoming Cruise. I think I need another plan. What a shame.
There is still beach 🏖 but by the Marriott there isn’t much unfortunately hope you can still come to this beautiful island

Not sure if it’s back or it’s just low tide? These still o room for even a lounge chair. It’s still bad.

Are the cruise ships coming back to Cayman?
Hopefully in the near future but not yet
It will never "come back". I have seen it slowly getting worse since the late 80s. This is just low tide. North end is starting to go now too.
