I'd say go with the black background, creates more contrast with the figures you're reviewing. And people saying the wood looks unique, in the end it's your reviewing style that makes the channel unique. Keep up the great work dude!
Awesome review!! Your editing is the best I’ve seen for figure reviews! I was waiting to see this review before I got him and Homer. I bought the Robin Hood Super7s and wasnt sure if I wanted to get the Simpsons or the Alice and Wonderland figures. Anyways…thanks for the great video!

Honestly i like the wooden background more, natural and havent really seen anyone use it! There you go, you are unique! No Apron is a big bummer, but nice non the less!

Good stuff! My Moe has the discolored shoulders too, just a product of how they did it. Why they didn't break up the sleeve and arm into two different colors is weird and baffling, plus they could have given us a biceps swivel if done that way. I'm guessing they went with the episode 1 info on the back of the box because this is like an evergreen Moe who could be from any episode. Incidentally, he actually didn't look like this in the first episode as he originally had black hair and a pink apron. Plus he had a festive hat in that episode too. I'm guessing the retailers removed the apron from the solicitation so their customers wouldn't ask them about it since they're probably just referring everyone to Super7. Hopefully the silly thing gets sent out soon. Moe is practically naked without his apron.
Love your videos. Very informative and chill to watch. The Simpsons line is the only thing s7 is putting out that makes me want to collect it. I was super pumped and then disappointed by their disney line, so I still haven't bitten the bullet yet. On the subject of the missing outlines, I'm kinda a fan of the current look. It reminds me of video games like hit and run, which was the first time I personally saw these characters in 3d.
The problem with Moe is, he doesn't have his apron. I know S7 sent out Moe's apron, to those who bought him. What if you're a in box collector? Then you'd have to become a loose collector. Or try and put Moe's apron on hin in the box. But it might not fit nicely in the plastic. Bc it wasn't designed for Moe with apron.
While it was a total mess, its hard to say if the apron would be on him by default. Sometimes they are bagged with silica gel. Although, the Tate and Flanders has their soft goods on

Immediately my thought when the box mentioned ‘Simpsons roasting on an open fire’. True, it’s the very first episode and appearance of Moe but his design and colors were very different indeed. Barney even was blond in those episodes 😄
Becoming my favorite action figure reviewer. LOVE THE POSES. The no Apron thing is a big Red flag. I don't need the Panda. But it's friggin Moe. We were Born Snake Handlers and we are gonna die Snake Handlers.
The paint bleed/overspray, limited articulation and cheap "plasticy" look of many Super 7 figs make them a bad value prospect. Drop the price by $20 and you have parity between price and quality. These shouldn't cost any more (and possibly less) then the fantastic NECA figures we've been getting.
Normally I crap all over this brand, but I’m so impressed with their Simpsons line. There are several reasons (shared with me by others) that they can’t price their stuff like NECA. And on that, NECA has stated they can only get that price because of all their other businesses. I do hate these are $55 and up though
I do agree that these look good. Better than other Super 7 figs. This line (and your reviews) :are swaying me hard. If they go on sale, I think I'll bite :)

I'd love to get Super 7's Simpsons and Animaniacs but I'm just running out of room. My main collections are movies and books. Figures would be third. So I always have to think about the balance. Especially with NECA coming out with TMNT and Dinosaurs stuff.
Yeah, Super 7 is doing great on these Simpsons characters it seems, but the missing apron and Krusty not getting his cigarette and whisky are just big no-no’s. As you pointed out, these are adult collectibles of a tv-show that never had kids as their primary target. So they should be getting those accessories as those are so much part of the characters. Even though I don’t see myself collecting this line apart from a few characters or just the main family, Astronaut Homer is definitely tempting for me personally,. I would prefer the family characters in their standard clothes over the specific episode designs, though. Unless it’s Homer from the The Raven sequence in the first Treehouse of Horror. It is up to this day one of my absolute favourite parts in the entire show. Kang and Kodos are also very tempting to me but the higher price combined with the fact you’re essentially buying two almost identical figures keeps me from getting those. As for other characters I’d love to see, Itchy and Scratchy are highest up on my list (it’s strange to me they went for the robot versions first for whatever Super 7 reason). Apu, Mr Burns and Smithers, Lenny and Carl are also some of my favourites.
So many good characters on your list. I’d love to see some of these default versions soon. Maybe they are making some of these to fund the creation of the others? I dunno. Strange first wave choices for sure
I would rather they release the odd characters first to figure out a good stride with articulation and general construction of the figures. Every toy line has crappy early figures, but every great toy line has to start somewhere. I don't mind getting the family later. We all know they are coming.

Many months later (after they confirmed they would send me one) I contacted them again. They said I had to contact Entertainment Earth. So I tweeted about it and they sent me a DM asking for details. Finally, after much back and forth they said they would send one. But because I included EE in the tweet they also contacted me and sent me one. It was an awful experience
Has Super7 made any contact with customers about how the apron will be provided? As much as the idea of it being soft goods it could have just been sculpted to avoid this issue, especially because Moe almost always wears the apron.

I'm not sure if this would be a controversial opinion but personally I think it'd have been a much better idea to scrap the panda and crate (as much as I love the reference) and replace it with the love tester; for me that's a much more iconic Moe-related prop. Or Maya from the later seasons, although I'm sure having a second character might cause some complications.

Brilliant review I'm most looking forward to one day owning the Marge Maggie and Lisa figures especially Marge though I don't like her leaked expression in the toy magazine I also have no idea how I'm going to obtain any of the Super 7 figures as on their official website all the figures seem to sell out fast I also imagine Ebay will scalp the figures I want which would be even more depressing as a UK collector. Also no apron on Moe is like giving us a comic book guy figure without a comic prop or a Lisa figure without her saxophone such a bizarre choice to make.
Thank you! You can order from other websites well after Super7 stops offering them. BigBadToyStore and EntertainmentEarth are some examples. I’m sure there are UK based options specifically and sometimes local toy or comic stores. These really are never worth more than their original price and often less. The TMNT line for example is always on sale. In regards to Moe’s apron, some folks have been receiving the item from Super7 now. Just had to email the company and show proof of purchase unless you bought direct. I have faith you can find the figures you want!

Sounds like you’re getting more value for your money though with Hot Toys. Why buy 4 Hasbro when they aren’t great in the end? 1 high quality item carries more weight
Yeah I found him Bart & Homer for sale . These look amazing I’m in;. BBToys shows his apron now but I remember them not having it & it caused chaos. How were they going give him a panda (way specific episode), but leave of f his apron that was in every episode
The wood table is better. It's a good wood. Warm, substantial, inviting. The high contrast of black isn't necessary to show off figs & the dust & nicks nics? Nick fit heh what was I...oh yeah the table, it elevates your content.
i am annoyed that Moe came with all of his bar accessories, even an illegal panda, but they chose to leave out his apron. That makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. i could've gone without the panda if it meant that Moe could have one of his most important clothing items.
Great review. For anyone watching in 2024, Super7 is still providing an apron via mail if you contact them and provide proof of purchase, at least as of January. I bought from Toynk and Super7 honored my request for the apron and I had it roughly a week later. YMMV and we know Super7 is far from perfect but respect to them for still doing it a year later even when bought from a 3rd party.
Unless you move into a senior citizen's community, the sounds of children will follow you everywhere. i live in a house and i always hear children. The only time that i do not hear children EVERY day is this time of year, and i revel in it. However, people like to drive by while blasting their dreadful bass-heavy music all year round, so.. . i'm not a hater, i am just a man who truly enjoys peace and quiet. And i desperately need to get out of the city.

Yeah, season 1 version is different from this design which is maybe the most shocking part of them putting Season 1 Episode 1 on the back of the box.

Has Super7 made any contact with customers about how the apron will be provided? As much as the idea of it being soft goods it could have just been sculpted to avoid this issue, especially because Moe almost always wears the apron.
Shipped out to anyone who bought Moe directly from them and the rest of us need to fill out their contact form and provide proof of purchase from other retailers

Trying to stick to main looks for core characters. I made an exception for Deep Space Homer because I was curious about the line and wanted at least one figure.
I might also get Bartman and King-Size Homer. I wish Kang and Kodos weren’t $75 each.

I'm not sure if this would be a controversial opinion but personally I think it'd have been a much better idea to scrap the panda and crate (as much as I love the reference) and replace it with the love tester; for me that's a much more iconic Moe-related prop. Or Maya from the later seasons, although I'm sure having a second character might cause some complications.

Awesome!!! I feel like this super 7 moe is a bit to big out of scale to go with other lines like maybe mezco or revoltech, or dc collectibles. The head is too big and I wish they make them a bit more in scale to use with other figures..great review!!!
Thank you! There are so many sizes from different brands it’s hard to keep things the same. I do wish they were smaller to take up less space

molding the shoulders yellow and painting it blue afterwards was a terrible choice. The shoulders should've been casted in blue plastic separately.

I'm most looking forward to one day owning the Marge Maggie and Lisa figures especially Marge though I don't like her leaked expression in the toy magazine
I also have no idea how I'm going to obtain any of the Super 7 figures as on their official website all the figures seem to sell out fast I also imagine Ebay will scalp the figures I want which would be even more depressing as a UK collector.
Also no apron on Moe is like giving us a comic book guy figure without a comic prop or a Lisa figure without her saxophone such a bizarre choice to make.
Thank you! You can order from other websites well after Super7 stops offering them. BigBadToyStore and EntertainmentEarth are some examples. I’m sure there are UK based options specifically and sometimes local toy or comic stores. These really are never worth more than their original price and often less. The TMNT line for example is always on sale.
In regards to Moe’s apron, some folks have been receiving the item from Super7 now. Just had to email the company and show proof of purchase unless you bought direct.
I have faith you can find the figures you want!

Honestly I've had a bad expirence with the big bad toystore but its great to know that I have other options yeah 50 bucks seems a bit steep even for die hard collectors I agree I just hate scalping in general if I buy something at fair price I will.

Sounds like you’re getting more value for your money though with Hot Toys. Why buy 4 Hasbro when they aren’t great in the end? 1 high quality item carries more weight

Yeah I found him Bart & Homer for sale . These look amazing I’m in;. BBToys shows his apron now but I remember them not having it & it caused chaos. How were they going give him a panda (way specific episode), but leave of f his apron that was in every episode

i am annoyed that Moe came with all of his bar accessories, even an illegal panda, but they chose to leave out his apron. That makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. i could've gone without the panda if it meant that Moe could have one of his most important clothing items.

Great review. For anyone watching in 2024, Super7 is still providing an apron via mail if you contact them and provide proof of purchase, at least as of January.
I bought from Toynk and Super7 honored my request for the apron and I had it roughly a week later. YMMV and we know Super7 is far from perfect but respect to them for still doing it a year later even when bought from a 3rd party.

i have been collecting for about six years. Mainly 12 inch G.I. Joe figures and Barbie dolls.
i don't now what came over me, but now i'm getting into 1:12 scale figures and wanting to collect updated versions of my childhood toys.
Your channel is really helping me to expand on that. i can easily see myself getting into Simpsons figures, but that probably won't be for a while.
