What is the watering cycle. How much and how often. In the USA Chicago will a mix of potting soil and peat moss work. What fertilizer to use that is available locally. How much and how often?
@Vinod Mehra Water only when you find upper layer of soil dry. Mix of soil and peat moss will be ok but try to avoid peat moss for better results and take mixture of garden soil and vermi compost/manure in 7:3. Handful of compost once in 15-20 days in 12-14inch of pot.

@Ashwin k koi special nahi jo commonly market main neem Oil milta hai wahi. Haanji baki plants per bhi spray kr sakte hai. Spray k liye 1liter paani main 1spoon neem oil and dish wash soap 1/4 spoon add kr lena ache se shake kr k phir spray Krna.
In Tamil Nadu there is no tinda vegetable,I got the tinda seeds through mixed seeds varities of Vegetables.so for I planted 5 seeds only one is still available,others are died because we having hens in our field..I planted on 31.07.2020 ..I m excited about the first harvest of tinda.i haven't seen tinda in entire life.I m eargly waiting for the tinda..
I am from Chennai. I have planted Tinda and I have two fruits coming up. May I know when to harvest as we have not used to this fruits. How to check It is ready for harvest. Right now the fruit is very hairy
@Aamir Waheed Bina dekhe bata pana mushkil hai. Ho sakta apke wha ka climate suitable na ho, over watering ho , fertilizer ki kami ho, ya sunlight proper na mill rhi ho, soil main koi infection ho etc.
@Aamir Waheed temperature ek major reason hai. 36°c 37°c se zada hote he plant stress main chala jata hai specially agar plant pot main ho ya terrace per ho. If possible provide it green net.
मैंने 15 अगस्त को टिंडे का बीज लगाया था अभी 1 महीने के बाद मेरा टिंडा काफी बड़ा हो गया है । मेरा मानना है कोई भी बीज या पौधा लगाने के लिए समय नहीं देखना चाहिए जब आपका मन करे लगा लेना चाहिए । टिंडा का तना बहुत ही नाजुक होता है इसका थोड़ा सा ध्यान रखना पड़ता है मेरे टिंडा मैं 4 दिन पहले लीफ माइनर हुआ था मैंने नीम ऑयल का छिड़काव किया अब पौधा बिल्कुल स्वस्थ है टिंडा के ऊपर फल भिंडी और गिलकी के पौधे से जल्दी आते हैं यह पौधा जब 10 से 20 दिन का होता है इस समय इसे बहुत ज्यादा बारिश से बचाने की जरूरत है क्योंकि बहुत ज्यादा बारिश में इसका पौधा टूट सकता है । मैंने पहली बार टिंडा लगाया पर एक्सपीरियंस बहुत मजेदार रहा बस में इस वीडियो में यही देखने आई थी कि मुझे टिंडा खाने को कब मिलेगा ।

@Abdul Hanan Memon mitti main moisture bnaye rakhna hai, soil ooper se agar half inch dry hoti hai to watering kr do. Aur dhoop main rakho.

@Naageshwari G harvest it before it's skin start turing hard or hair are about to disappear and the size is 1.5inch to 2 inch in diameter.

@Manvik nahi abhi hawaa main garmi kum ho gai hai. Seed germinate kr k grow to karenge but fruit nahi ban payega.
