I personally love all of the furniture you’ve purchased but I do agree that it looks very cluttered. By cluttered I mean just really busy in some areas (I.e. your bags under the nightstand, the various objects on the kitchen cart, the mismatched basket on the media console)
If you really want those pot holders out maybe you could get hooks that match the kitchen hardware and put them up with a ruler! I feel like little touches like that could really elevate the space (and impress you mom 😉).
I love your mom. You two remind me of me and my 21 year old daughter. When your mom is on, I just laugh so much. You two are the best. Don’t pressure yourself in your apartment set up…just enjoy the process of making it your own, however long it takes!
I really think that for us sugar lovers, that is one cause for skin breakouts. You should try a mini experiment and go no sugar for 2-3 weeks and see if anything happens. I also started green juicing at home and I think that helped too!
I’ve never tried Armra but during the green powder craze my skin was a disaster! Within a week of stopping greens powder my skin cleared up completely. Supplements can do some crazy things for sure
Would be an investment but you could do a really nice build out in the little nook in the office where the desk is. Could be a built in desk / bookshelf / deep drawers in the future for a bedroom. Would help solve the storage problem and really pull the room together in a way wheee you won't have to shop for pieces etc

I am coming from the midwest, however that is WILD to pay $100 for a blowout. You should LOVVEE it for that cost. I live in a small town so that plays into cost, however I charge $30. To me it's a simple service and doesn't take that long.

One thing though I would’ve gotten an enclosed sideboard with wheels to have everything hidden but to each their own, it’ll come together when it does. Y’all did a good job getting to where you are now, you should’ve considered getting a fireplace for your media console, they’re so cozy. And you’re allowed to remove the tags from pillows and mattresses, it’s illegal for the people selling it to remove it. And mom’s giving us their advice is what they’re there for, my mom does the same exact thing and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Maybe the baskets holding the tech stuff can go behind the couch on window? They don’t match one another and seem too small for under the console!

I was thinking the same. Those of us that are prone to breakouts have to be very careful with supplements cause they can trigger breakouts.

NYC is expensive. So charging so much for a small service is probably necessary to stay afloat and be able to live.
